i tried hawken and i love the concept of mech wars would love to see where they can go with this but it lacks something idk what it is after 2-3 games it gets really dull

Been a fan of the old school Mech Warrior combat and this looks even better.

Its not for everyone and yes, it could get old fast....I think what kept me so keen on the old Mech Warrior was the lore....the story....the music....the entire experience just dripped of sci fi goodness.

Slow plodding Mechs duking it out for their various Clans. Clan Wolf, Clan Jade Falcon...

The CGI intro is still burnt into my memory to this day (with the summoner destroying the TimbreWolf/WildCat)



Both of those mechs would remain my favourites throughout.

If Hawken can pull of that similar magic with their take on the genre, they'll have fans playing for years to come.

played this for awhile last night. hard to believe this is free. Extremely gorgeous visuals, and fairly solid (though simple) gameplay. It is pretty fast paced, didn't expect that.

Had tons of issues getting into a game though, hope they sort that out. Otherwise, ill be keeping my eye out on this.
