Ok, Update Time.

Last time i posted an update, the machine was not seeing all memory and i suspected may be bent cpu pins as reported by other users. Sure enough that was exactly the case, but under the cpu bracket certain pins were actaully missing, in other words, RMA.

That board was ordered from an amazon seller (Beach Audio), so i decided to order a new one from amazon direct, then sort out rma business after. The new board arrived and i air tested everything, and it was fine, so i proceeded to plumb the system and get it up and running. I also replaced the PSU in the process, because my exisitng PCP&C 1200w is pretty noisy, and my new machine is in the living room now, i need it to be quiet, so i got the updated 1200w from PCP&C which is passively cooled up to 600w, then the fan activates after that, but still very very silent. (The case fans are louder).

The cooling system works like a charm, and i cant complain about the overall performance of the rig either.

I need a couple of neat nice looking extensions for the 24pin power and probably the 8pin cpu power connectors. Also the PSU only came with 4 ide power connectors, i need a few more for my lighting kit. So ill have to order some sata-ide power adaptors. When that arrives ill complete the rig and upload a final video. Ill post a few pics in the time being.

Ok, after having officially signing off on the Build (sans cosmetic touchups), i've began punging some game. Start with...Borderlands 2 of course.

Without OC, in areas with large viewing distances, the fps was dropping below 60, after OCing to 5ghz, the game running a solid 60 locked (im using nvidia's adaptive vsycn so games wont run over 60). Seems the GPUs was being held back by the cpu. But now they could breathe.

I'm truely impressed by the performance of the machine thus far. I have to test some more heavy hitters like Skyrim with Graphics mods, and Crysis 2 and the likes.

I'm running borderlands 2 flawless! at these settings:

Res : 2560 * 1600
All graphics options ingame set to their maximum.
Physx set to it's maximum.

And d GPUs not reaching their peak frequency yet. So i mite have to feed d rig something with more meat in true, to see when d gpus hit they max potential.
