The razer blade line has been out a while now, still expensive no rass, but yes they will eventually come down In price, at that time it may warrant another look.

As far as d razor looking wicked goes, it does no doubt, but function over form in this case oui, much rather game on max @ 60 fps, than my machine looking pretty with lag lol.

You already said it...for function...a desktop gives much more bang for the buck.

The only reason to spring for one of these...IS for the form factor. It's a beauty.

For heavy duty action, you'll game from your rig at home but if you're taking your sweatage out on the road.....I'd definitely prefer lugging this around than the other nondescript laptops on the market.

For mobile gaming, I won't mind the compromise.

Would prefer cooler running parts in such a tiny case to be honest. Thermals are a big deal in the mobile space.

Amazon has it listed incorrectly that's the "lower spec'ed" version the one they have listed as "newer" is the higher spec'ed version its listed correctly on razers site

imo I found this machine interesting especially the design and the interface ....as Arc said If I had the $$ I would buy it the higher spec'ed version..... Also regarding previous discussions

$2500 right now is more than some Americans make in a month but they know their target audience .... for comparison look at apple products eg. macbook ... and then tell me people wont buy this

because you can customize the dell which owns alienware to be 10x times better but even if you inform those same consumers ... they just don't care plain and simple (the majority)

AND its not that we don't know about alienware its just that this machine is a niche product and should be noted that's all ....

I agree with Wyatt as well the beauty is in the design only caveat is the cooling from the reviews I think they may need to work on that....

yeah, I had a "gaming laptop" once and it all but melted on itself from thermal issues.

Cooling is a BIG deal at that form factor.

I don't mind giving up a few fps to have a laptop that won't melt and implode during a gaming session. lol

Did anyone else catch this in the 1st episode of the new season of Dexter..... ?

How's THAT for product placement?  :laughing7:

Yep...that's a Blade.  You can clearly see the touchscreen on the far side of it...and a Naga mouse, and Orca headset.

I wonder who Razer had to bribe for that shameless plug?

Wyatt, that brings me back to my oringal point, that product is for someone who already have a beast pc at home and want light mobile gaming, but if u have to choose between that machine and a desktop, everyone here choosing d desktop. D alienware recommendation is for men who want mobile gaming and have no desktop home. So d power of d machine serves as both they desktop replacement but still portable. Only reason i seeing men here buying that razer, is if they already have ah beast home. And even then its a tough sell. And yes preston, fully agree with your statement about the value of 2500$ US and the target market etc. D population of america is dramatically bigger than that of trini, so obviosuly more ppl will buy it, but when u do d statistics, men in America doh have it any easier. And maybe id give this product more respect if my last 2 150$ razer mice i bought didnt stop working withint 2 weeks. Ontop of that , i game with lights off, not looking down at my keyboard, that touchscreen thing is one big gimmick for any gamer , it go be pretty and nice first few days, but after that, who d hell looking down at that during ah swet? But anyways, like i told arc, d day somebody on gatt buy that ill eat my words witch ketchup, nobody here actually going to buy that shit lol, at that Price.

Razer mouse mats ftw, everything else is balls.

Yes boy, when i build my last beast, me and isme buy 2 sexy razer mice, d best mice avaiable at the time, d razer mambas i think. Thing come in glass case all kinda thing, talk bout sexy. Isme own stop scrolling in 2 weeks!, d thing get treat like ah new born baby, and it spioil. My own last ah bit longer, but ultimately d lazer stopped working. They were being used on d Razer mouse mat, same one arc using. Bess mat, but 2 brand new mouse juss stop woking jus so jus so? Stueps, that leave ah rel sour taste in my mouse, 150$ US down d drain, din even get ah month out of it. After that i say to myself, Logitech periferals only, i doh want to see nothing else, becuase i know their shit lasts. I had ah saitek cyborg back in day, shit spoil too. Not me boy. Logitech ftw, i mite try d microsoft touch mouse for windows 8, but that cheap enough that if i get burned, is no biggie, but spending 150$ ($300 total) on 2 mice and dey dead so fast? fire bun razer boy.

Did i mention they software is also rel shit? lolol.

I actually just got a Razer Orochi Elite bluetooth laser mouse to use with my netbook.
It works just as advertised.  Absolutely no issues thus far.

Pretty awesome little mouse.  Can work in wireless mode, or wired mode without batteries...

Absolutely the BEST laptop mouse I've used thus far.

I use a logitech anywhere mx for my laptop mouse primarily because it tracks on anything including glass, which is perfect for me since i never know where i going to end up to use d mouse. And is logitech and i trust the brand. It has a flick switch on the base to turn off d mouse when u done, and slip it into a nice lil mouse pouch which is always nestled in my work pants for mouse on tap.

It also has logitech's fast flick scrolling (dont know if any other mice has this tech except logitech) but it's invaluable for everyday use and browsing. Cant live without it.
