My uncle was asking me to run a set up like this for him. I may be interested. Couple questions though, Can this be set up on a PC ?  If so can it record? Im googling it now but since u have it wouldnt mind hearing more about its features.

it can be set up on a pc for recording but you'll need a tv card since this was intended to be hooked up to a regular tv.
On it's own it doesn't have any recording features. However since it s designed to be connected to a tv you can connect it to a vcr and then to the tv.
Please note that this does not split your screen into for for simultaneous viewing but rather cycles each camera. It has a remote included so you can switch between cameras easily and there is a cycle button on the control box.

hope this answers your questions.

i know not to expect the best quality for the price but how is the quality of the resulting video? it should be a standard 720*480 however ive set up one couple years ago not the same brand but the end result video was a mere 480*360 which kinda sux as u get to see general figures moving but no details like face which to me defeats the purpose of calling it a security system... hope i didnt damper chances of sale here guys but id like this product as well just wanna make sure of the clarity of the video. i know some old folks who dont mind the tech part they just want a basic setup to see whats going on in the property when they are out.

post updated to address questions raised.
I could not get a spec on image quality...
that being said i'd go with the lower quality res.
reason being that it's designed for use with a regular tv.
hope this helps.
