Was very satisfying and what they did with Whiplash was probably what most fans were thinking. While watching this i actually thought to myself for a second " this is frigging awesome". Also i love Black Widow >_>
P.S :also stayed back after the credits for that something too. Men bawl yes lol

the show was awesome and flawless. They didn't break the mold but they didn't need to because the mold was already perfect. lol
highly recommended
Even the misses, who normally falls asleep at any action flick, stayed awake the whole way through and gave it a 10/10.
It's not often you go to movietowne and the entire crowd is clapping with standing ovation and all kinda ruckus behaviour. Very impressive.

In my case the Fanboys ruled the night, make rel noise when Captain America's shield made it's cameo (not a spoiler, it was an easter egg in the movie) plus the end credits.

Went to see it today... it was well done. Enjoyed it from start to end...
And I also thought the after credits was gonna be a someone, not a something. But, then again... that made sense

I would like to speak to Scarlett Johannson's daddy. I would like him to ask me what my intentions are and I will say:
Sir, I intend to beat out your daughter in every way that I can currently conceive... TWICE.
He's going to admire my honesty and I will never see sunlight again. I'll miss you guys.

I finally saw this after many weeks so my critique will begin.
I am happy that this was the opener for the summer blockbuster films...because this film can be summed up in one word; kickass.
I didn't have to worry about "losing the spark from the original" because this movie had more than sparks...it was explosive. Firstly I gave credibility to Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War machine, he was better than Terrence Howard and I liked his subtle sense of humor which added more flavor to the film. Again the performances from Robert Downey Jr. and Gweneth Paltrow were also top notch. The improved acting chemistry between them were notable to watch. Mickey Rourke was a good antagonist, very dark and cold and calculating villain. Still not better than Heath Ledger's Joker or Alfred Molina's Doc Ock but still very credible nonetheless. As short as her screen time was, I loved Scarlett Johansson's performance, appearance and her "martial art" skills.
In terms of story and dialog the movie retained the same sense of valor like the original, it just improved on it. I was laughing in scenes unintentionally but that was good because it reminded me of Raiders of the Lost Ark, action with subtle comedy.
I praise the visual effects to a point. There are some instances; example in the grand prix action sequence where the visuals looked mediocre, especially from a high standard company like ILM. However the sound effects editing and sound was visceral.
So basically was this a good summer film? yeah. was it a good comic book film? hell yea. a good sequel? yup!
Sure as hell wasn't like Spider-man 2 or the Dark Knight....but it will rise to those lines
