Iam so tired of never seeing real scientific news on wider media, even on the internets that comb all day everyday, unless your really looking for it, you seldom come across news of major scientific significance.
I remember being in college and hearing about the discovery of teleportation on a subatomic level and i couldnt believe it wasnt being blasted across all the news channels, then a while later the news of "warp field" creation, the ability to lower the mass of objects within a "warp field" again i was like zomfg!! but all news channels were quiet.
Today i was checking up on some CERN news and happened to notice a story from last year about the creation of antimatter in controlled lab experiments.
Not just anti particles, which they had been doing since the 50s but actuall anti matter, anti hydrogen. Very very very interesting stuff. This is the sort of thing sci fi like star trek is built upon, the use of matter and anti matter interactions to create massive amounts of energy to in part make warp travel possible.
So iam encouraging everyone that has an interest in science, not just physics, to please post info that is news worthy but has remained under the radar.
