In conclusionFrom a superficial point of view, this is an absolutely beautiful game. Everything runs at 60 frames per second, the tracks all look like their real-world counterparts, and the cars look good enough to make an enthusiast salivate. The damage modeling adds another level of complexity to the game, giving you the ability to either make damage purely aesthetic or let it change the performance of your vehicle. It's good to see beat-up cars during dirty races, but it's a little disappointing to simply see chunks of the model swapped out for the damaged portion when you hit cars a certain way. Ding the back bumper, and you'll see the damaged section added. It feels like a video game, not a damaged car.You can also roll your cars, but it seems like you almost have to try to get that to happen; there has to be something serious going on before you see a car go heels over head. You can take still pictures of your cars with their paint jobs in the middle of races, and you can edit and share videos to show off your car collections with their custom paint jobs or your own driving prowess. In fact, this could easily be a twenty page review after going through every aspect of every bit of this game, but I'll give you the short and sweet version: it all works well, and it all looks good. The feel of the game is simply impeccable, and everything is polished, beautiful, and made to scratch the racing or design itch you have. It's hard to find any racing fan that isn't being taken care of in this game, no matter how you like to play.I've poured hours and hours and hours into this game, and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of buying the cars I want, or getting my skills to where I want them. I can tell you I've had a great time so far, though, and I can't wait to race you online. Is this a better game than Gran Turismo 5? We'll have to wait and see. Is it better than every other racing game that came before it? That might be a safer bet.The Good * Huge selection of 400 cars, over 100 tracks, and they're all unlocked from the jump. You merely need to earn the cash * One of the most beautiful games of this generation * The racing simply "feels" right, from the arcade settings to the most hardcore simulation * Car painters and tuners will find a home with the improved storefront * Flexible online modes allow you to race in a multitude of modes with a wide variety of settings * Season mode is generated for you, allowing you to continue racing the cars you like, or you can branch off at any time * Better than average single-player AI, if you keep the pressure on your opponents they'll often crack and make mistakes * Earn money and levels by playing either single or multiplayer races * The rewind feature keeps your interest, cuts down on quitting in frustrationThe Bad * The Season mode can start to feel like a grind as you go along * This is going to create quite the high bar for other racing games to match up toThe Ugly * OMG, TWO DISCS? This would never happen on the PS3 because it has Blu-ray and the 360 sucks LOLZORS.Verdict: Buy
