That place is (was?) Audio Xpertz or something. If im not mistaken, they were actually a studio that sold Yamaha keyboards...afaik, they didnt really deal up in t violins or anything like that.

That said, there's Simon's Musical Supplies on St Vincent st next to Globe Cinema. You can check them out.

I asked about simon's ans someone said they only carry the 'chinese no name' brand of violins and they cost 2300.

I was going to buy a violin locally...my friend however is ranked as one of the top violist in Trinidad and Tobago..and she is currently away doing studies in Music...she is an excellent violist....she however decided to check out the violins at simons to tell me if they had good prices or not, her reviews was VERY poor of the quality..and she told me its not even worth quarter the price, and it would make NO sense buying it...

I am a pannist, and i've been for approx 11years.... simons...their pans are not good...i'm sorry...its a great little business but not for or at my musical standards..i've studied music and the only thing they have for me, is score sheets...

okay personally i notice most ppl from this site bring stuff down here...so what i would however suggest is that you do invest in bringing it down via amazon...they take very good care of it...i believe the packaging is VERY good..and they also hit it some fragile stickers so FedEX or UPS or whoever you have your business connected with take very good care of it.
