Just saw this and wanted to update everyone. It shitting sucks, just when I finally found a way to buy stuff from the PSN. BAD MOVE SONY!!!!

Can anyone here actually confirm this? Because the article seems to be pointing to Playstation EUROPE. Further to that someone commented on that article saying it still works on the US store. Just checking.

I was going through some forums and it seems that for now the US store is unaffected. I will try next week and post if I'm successful.

if you signed up for entropay before da lock down then YES it still works but if u try to sign up now (from wat i read on other forums) it won't work

Well EntroPay was a good option while it lasted. But I just saw PSN cards on BestBuy.com.

i bought one off ebay got my code quick an no hassle wanna buy another but not unitl i get my 500 GB HDD for my PS3 1st

I have another question. If the PlayStation Network cards have to be "activated at register", would you be able to purchase one online and just use the code on the card as I've read, or is there more.

Ok the activation by the register is basically a security protocol so no one can easily pocket one at the store.
The PSN card will only work onces its been "swiped" at the register.

If you're buying one online from say an ebay user, he would have had it activated before sale...Unless hes scamming you with a stolen non-activated one.
Hopefully Sony will start selling PSN Cards through Playstation.com to help the problem.

A general update on this issue:

1.) Entropay still works as an option for persons who had used Entropay on the Playstation Store prior to Sony blocking said Entropay cards.

2.) If you have a US or Canadian account, there is NO possible way to use a local credit card. Must have a Credit Card authorised by a US bank/Canadian Bank with the associated Billing Address.

3.) PSN Prepaid Cards are now readily available in the US for those with USA accounts. Trinis with US accounts can obtain these codes numerous ways:
    i. Ask a relative to purchase one from a store in the US and send you the code.

    ii. Purchase one from an online retailer at a markup price:
       - www.MaximusCards.com
         (accepts all credit cards worldwide, sells numerous gaming prepaid cards, safe - purchased here already.)

       - Ebay Seller iTunes Express
         (Uses Paypal, sells PSN & iTunes Cards, safe - purchased from here before.)

4.) Local Options - Carigaming - a new local option by GATT member: daniel1908
         (Best for persons without access to Credit Cards, have not personally tried this option)

     Local Gaming Stores may stock these (If anyone knows some names, please message me.)

Thanks The_Apprentice and you are right it is really for local PS3 gamers without a credit card. Hope to get some response on my site!!!
