when i'm trying to reformat my flash drive it gives this display msg:
"this disk is write protected" and i can't reformat

check to see if there is any "hold" switch, or any switch for that matter on the actual flash drive... like a floppy disk, some flash drives have this.

What type/brand of flash drive is it? Maybe it needs special software to do anything to its partitions etc?
