No love for AVG8 or Avast? free as in beer.

Not comfortable cracking something that updates itself online daily. (namely an antivirus app)

I agree with NGW here, 'cracking' a protective program could be the same as disabling your AV.

Avast is good, but not great.  I still contracted one of those USB flash-drive Autorun viruses while using Avast.
Since I switched to NOD32, no more bulls#!t.  It will work once you crack it properly. :happy0203:

All the crack does is extend the trial period indefinitely.  It does not interfere with the core app itself.

NOD32 mash up all the viruses that Avast failed to detect, or couldnt get rid of completely.

The problem with buying it from Amazon though...is when the 2 year free updates runs out, and you have to pay
to renew it, the website won't accept your card.  What do you do then?  Buy another copy again?

Steups...its good, but it aint THAT good.

I've been using Avast Professional for the last couple months and so far, it protects my system very nicely. Moved away from Nod because my cracked version stopped updating but primarily because there was no 64bit version available. So these days, Avast ftw.

Ok recently I realized my pc was being raped by some unknown entity, hence why my mouse was going crazy all over the screen.

I had NOD32 installed mind you and it didn't pick up the nasty little gremlins running around on my pc. Yes I know one program will NOT protect you from all viruses but thank goodness I had malwarebytes installed cause it nabbed some of them.

I had something that was causing me to see resycled\boot.com when I double click on the C: drive
(yea talk about a wtf moment)

So after some reading online I saw someone who had NOD32 installed also but had the same virus/problems and they installed Kaspersky and it fixed it. So I removed nod32 (mouse instantly started flying all over the screen opening random programs) and installed Kaspersky. The thing started like terminator ripping apart the baddies after I updated it.

After the restart lo and behold I can double-click on my C: drive with no strange error, so I plugged in my external too which I was sure got infected and Kapersky zapped the baddies on that too in a couple secs.

So with that said I think adding Kapersky to the list is fitting even though it's a trial but I got around that :)
