Tohsiba Satellite m305d-s4830 laptop

I bought a Toshiba Satellite m305d-s4830 laptop for school which came packed with bloatware, In an unsuccessful attempt to remove them myself i decided to reinstall vista from a retail dvd i had, but after the reinstall was complete and i had install the missing drivers, my integrated mic stopped working. My question is, would someone with the same system plz send me the microphone driver.

I think it's a sound card driver problem, I remember a similar problem on my sister's old Satellite.
Did you install the drivers provided by Toshiba or simply installed the missing ones and left the ones windows put in?
If you did leave the ones windows put in installing the ones from Toshiba should fix that problem.

If it doesn't you can try windows update, it usually picks up all the drivers needed.

use driver max to gather all the drivers on your system so you dont have to go hunting them down afterwards

Thanks for the advice guys, Crixx i tried those drivers but still the mic was not working. i came to the conclusion that the mic used diferent drivers, reason for my request. Do you guys know any other major computing boards this might increase my chances of finding someone with the same lappy.

hmm, that driver max requires registration online to use. Find that kinda fishy.

Looking like a real awesome concept/program though.

driver max is awesome

the reason i suggest it slamming, is that it seeks out all the drivers installed on your system, backs them up
and allows you to reinstall them exactly as they were.

so its not a case of looking for drivers online, its a case of snagging all the drivers present on your system,so if the drivers were working when yu use driver max, they will work when you restore them.

yeah i understand what you are saying Crixx. but i already did the reinstall of vista so any drivers that came from the original install are gone since i used a retail copy of vista instead of the recovery/branded copy to do the reinstall. Wish i knew about driver about driver max.
