I am currently working on something that involves me writing some humourous commentary pertaining to Trini life. Some of the topics I have already dealth with are:

Pregnancy
POS Fires
Vendors
Elections / Politics
Churches
Education
The Entertainment Industry
Disciplinary Action (corperal punishment)
Hospitals
TV commercials
Fast Food
Gang Wars
Superstition
Gas Shortages
Imigrants
& Lotto

I am still looking for other topical issues to comment on. What i need specifically is the type of stuff you talk about with your friends, or in the rum shop. Stuff that everybody knows is wrong with this country but will never change because "we livin in Trinidad". All ideas are welcomed but I don't want anything too graphic or for mature audiences only. Basically, if you can't talk about it in front of a 6 year old without having to cover their ears then it's too graphic.

I can't give out too much more info on what i am doing for contractual reasons but any assistance would be appreciated.

Oh and it would be also appreciated if this thread isn't filled up with useless or idle comments that have nothing to do with the subject at hand so please keep your comments to the point.

Umm, well I not exactly too sure what it is you want, but what about; Trini food, and in the sense, that it would be almost exactly the same thing anywhere else in the world, but because its a different name in trinidad its a different food....

The food thing is cool too.

Like a tourist goes to the market to buy "eggplant" and she sees a vendor announcing "$1 a pound for the mellongen!".

She doesn't know what that is but she sees eggplant at his stall so she asks, "What's the cost of your eggplant?"

The smart vendor, being the opportunist that he is would reply "Only $6 US dollars per pound."

Ok I am at liberty to divulge a little more info.

I am working on a locally produced animated series geared at discussing the pitfalls and ecentrisities (if that is how you spell it) of Trinidad and Tobago life.

All the ideas listed above would be different episodes in the series. I have to do 24 episodes in all but so far I have about 20 so I just need a few more ideas. It could be anything as long as it not too mature cause I want kids to be able to watch this. Think like the simpsons in T&T.

Anyway, the name of the show will be "Trini Life" and that is all I am allowed to say for now.

The football thing is actually on stream already and I did plan on doing something with the cell phone war but that Abu Bakr idea is cool. The potholes are dealth with indirectly aswell as stuff like drug abuse and police brutality.

I didn't think about the bajans stealing our fish but now that you mention it it is a really good idea.

You all were very helpfull indeed. I have enough ideas now for the first 24 episodes and a few extra things I am considering so please keep your ideas coming. If I do use your ideas I will try to give you a little credit for it as well.

Just an update people. The Trini Life series i was talking about will actually be released as a movie first.

It's currently in production as is the soundtrack which will be released separately. Look out for it coming out in time for Christmas this year and thanks again for all the cool ideas.

Xerotolerant ideas are always welcomed. We are gonna turn this into a TV series next year so keep them coming.

I'm back again with an update. I know it's been a while but we have been really busy.

We trying to get the movie released in cinema before the end of this year. The launch will be most likely in Cinema 8 or movie town but they taking long to confirm.

In the mean time I can give you a list of some of the actors who have agreed to voice characters in the film:

Errol Fabien
Nikki Crosby
Sprangalang
Jason Daley (from Macajuel Time)
and a few others who will be named later.

The movie will also feature many notable Trinbagonian characters.
but since we don't have their permission i can't give their names here so you will just have to see the movie when it comes out.
