then dont stick flip, you young enough and fit enough to deal with it if you find out now.
I know as men thas not soemthing we like to do eh, figure we could just tank what ever physical ailment comes our way, buh diabetes ah man that does move breathless under cover.

You may not even need a blood test, a simple urine test could go a long way in determining if you have diabetes.
THats how i found out about mine, from a routine urine test for school.

Dont be bashfull guys, check the website out, check the symptoms of type 1 or juvenile diabetes.

Take the risk assesment test.

Some common symptoms assosiated with diabetes are
Increased thirst for WATER. Not just any liquid but water in particular.
If you were accustomed drinking alcohol and then suddenly couldnt tolerate it as much, like if yu could take bout 4 screw drivers in one night and be safe to drive home, but all of a sudden after 1 or 2 screw drivers yu start to feel the need to drink water, or yu realise you reach yur limit already, that could be a symptom as well.

Increased urination. Generally as a result of the intake of all that water.

Numbness of extremities.

Decreased sexual libido and decreased stamina.

Sudden inexplicable drowsiness and lethargy.

Of course, when you dont eat meals your blood sugar drops and you feel like if youve lost a pint of blood.

Itching dry skin. Sometimes your skin feels funny and itchy for no apparent reason, you not bitten by anything and yu dont have a rash, but yu feel as though even under your skin is itchy.

Blurred vision. If you formerly had 20/20 vision then started to experience blurred vision for seemingly no reason, go check your doctor and not your optometrist.

My step-grandmother died from complications by diabetes.
Before she passed away, she lost sight in her right eye, and had to have her foot amputated. =(

well you cant to a test online

so go to the clinic in st james or to your doctor and just ask him to do a test for diabetes. Could check your urine or take a small blood sample, just a drop of blood from your finger and tell you. wont take long.

Have it on both sides of my family.
Was told 3 years ago that if i continued eating the way i do, my chances of diabetes would increase by 50 percent in 5 years.
That was a shocker. Since then i lost weight and cut out soda almost totally. I know some ppl cant do that, but if you have a history cut out 1 or 2 sugary things in your life to having them like once a month or once every 3 weeks. It helps ALLOT.
Straight up water most of the time now.

my grandmum died of complications from diabetes.

some members of my family have it (others are suspected of havin it)

one thing worthwhile to note is that if you have been diagnosed and are showing symptoms, then u have had diabetes for several years prior. so early detection is crucial.

but far more important, is the fact that this is by no means a death sentence...it is a warning, a sign to show you that it is time to take your health seriously, to watch your diet critically, do the necessary exercise, and to monitor, but it should in no way be seen as the end all of your existance,

people who have this disease can live far healthier lives than those without it, but you really have to monitor your health strategically.

i agree
and it leads to some hard choices

but in the end they are actually choices that would be better for you even if you werent diabetic

True, but people rarely act seriously  unless they got a reason too, its a universal law.

people who aint got crap to worry about wont do crap.

child onset diabetes is the worst kind...

sorry to hear that about your cousin, he will most likely become insulin dependant, and maybe have to go on dialysis.

Hope he is able to deal with it.

Should see a nutrionist.

good to see you posting mickey

with symptoms like that i would have thought diabetes as well, as those are classic symptoms, and whyd yu have to wait 3 days for the lab work??

you can get a full blood work up in 7 hours...

and an initial diabetes test in mere minutes...

what ultimately were you told was causing the symptoms
