yeh man..

remember a couple years aback he had take a couple million from the MPAA to not pirate? ( like they didn't know bittorrent is a protocol as well, and the code was open source lol)
the search engine at bitttorrent.com has been turning up only legal torrents for quite some time now...

we'll see how successful this venture is, tho

i use μTorrent ALOT ...much prefer it to BitTorrent

Azeuras ftw... that aside, I don't much see a problem with legit torrents. I do think bodies like RIAA are making far too much noise about too little (check the selling our digital rights thread) but at the same time I think moving file/music/video via an estore is the way it should be by now. So I say good for them getting some money for the hard work and like most things it will have pros and cons, but at least the pros should outweigh the cons..

No, it wont affect you if you use a different torrent client and search engine.
This decision only affects those who use the official 'Bittorrent' client and search page.

Most veteran torrent users have moved away from the original client anyway. 
Only the 'n00bs' will get 'pwnt'.
