The concept is simple the shoutbox allows users to simply type a message that will be viewed by all members that log onto the forum and are on the main page.

I've seen this concept implemented on other local forums. They are usually small and inobtrusive and would hardly, in the grand scheme of things cause a great deal of annoyance due to its presence.

I've also seen it implemented and it was SPAMVILLE.... ppl use it to make useless posts that would otherwise have been deleted by staff...

I've seen this turn into a spam magnet more often than not.

We've seen over and over again how willing people are to abuse things that can be abused.

Perfect Eg. THE GOVERNMENT OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO... what more proof do we need? look at the parliment? its basically spamville :p

What about a system to use said chakra? I mean molding and draining is one thing, sure it kinda shows that ppl either like or dislike your posts but what about being able to use it for something... lik a jutsu to rid a thread of spam XD (for mods). Ok on a real, it'd be cool to do jutsus to other members, say you have enough chakra you can use a jutsu to make another member colours of their posts to go all haywire for an hour or something. A lil game element...

I rather liked the 'earn as you post' system of the old GATT forums.
It felt like you were actually gaining something from posting up here in the forums.
With that said, I miss my weapons from the first forum....and I spent a lot of time scrimping and saving for those things, too... =(
