stock hsf, seems fine for a 600 mhz oc, ram is 3--3-3-10 666mhz, does 400 fsb but then the cpu starts to warm up so will leave at 333.

Very nice.

The e6300 is the next 100% oc chip. you can manage a 50% if your sink is a good 3rd party sink, and if you've got a good mobo and not unlucky on the chip. Seen several of 3.0GHz reviews. One got unlucky (think it was anandetch..) but in general on xtremesystems, with gigabyte and asus boards, they're getting 2.8GHz and above (400MHz fsb). One chip that truly deserves good ram (to not be the cause of low clock as fsb - read: minimum ram speed -  can get high).
:P random text doesn't go out of date does it?

400 fsb is easy, did 2.8 but the temps ramped up real fast and only have stock cooler so back to 2.2 300 fsb, just waiting till the e6600 gets here :D

omfg those are some impressive numbers!

* [X]-Baego runs into the nearest wall

That 3dmark 2001 score was like a slap in the face. I have never seen it cross 20,000 in real life. Ever.

The 2006 scores are bit more normal, as 3d performance is the real limit there but still impressive given the setup.

Well done.

Can't wait to see the 6600 numbers at stock when you have yours up and running.

Month end I'll order mine.

serious??? what cpu you had??

cause 3dmark 2001 scores are more limited by cpu than gpu. My 7600 didn't post those sort of figures because of the cpu holding it back.

the game in question is Rise of Legend. Bess game.

I'll throw it his way.

more conroe tidbits :  Temps are reported below 50 degrees on stock speed , idling at 42 and loading at 49 , but @ 2.3 , stock volts it goes into the 50s .

System isn't as snappy as you' d expect it with two high speed cpus , winnie was right ,you'd want a RAID to get serious multitasking, also a few windows updates help  a bit too  , windoze isnt' optimized for dual cores though ,i 'm sure a good  unix distro will move much better with it.
