Apparently the X1800XT makes 9100 3dmarks , about 1000 more than stock speed 7800gtx cards , also the X1800XL cards are apparently faster than the 7800GT... ATI didn't loose the battle yet... They also have anti aliasing to match and beat Nvidia's TSAA that smoothens 2d images .
Of course 3dmark isn't a game , and performance from games that are used in this sample are usually some wierd setting that favours ATI over nvidia , but the real world results will be along these lines....
