TSTT DSL modems?
« on: September 13, 2005, 11:40:36 AM »
I'm looking to get dsl hopefully , if tstt provides service in my area like they claim to, i need to know :
Do all DSL modems tstt supplies come with ethernet ( LAN) outputs?
Will they work with USB and LAN at the same time?
Do any come with multiple ethernet outputs?
Has anyone tried using multiple TSTT DSL lines , pushing them into a router  and using all their bandwidth at once  ?
Does anyone have a 'fren' in TSTT than can get me fast hook up (no 2 week waiting period) and 512k/1mbit DSL ?

any tips on decreasing latency also ? tweaks ?

*sigh* Silly rabbit

No you cannot use the usb and ethernet at the same time.

No the modems do not come with multiple ethernet out puts.

THat idea bout the multiple dsl lines is stupid. You need a dsl condenser for that operation.
Such a unit cost a few grand US.

As of now i believe they only distribute the Speedstream routers.

in the past you could have gotten a 3com.

Gettin 512 is nuh easy, if alyuh find dat hook up, send me it please

Actually, I've seen some funny looking blue Netopia modems at some client's houses. The user interface on it sucks ass. Whoever Netopia got to develop that web interface, should be shot. Best hope they still have those Speedstreams to hand out...

And I dunno why you asking about multiple DSL lines...not like you getting multiple anyway...jus cool yuhself nah boy.

why he should cool himself? I was wondering the same thing about bundling two or more DSL lines... for a ... friend, yeah, a friend...

Maybe someone knows a software solution as an alternative to Crixx's multi dollar hardware thingamabob

I think I remember seeing something like that in ISA Server (yes I know that's not a 'common' solution, but if it exists in the M$ world, then it should have an open source alternative somewhere on the internet
