Amazing what a ancient card like the Voodoo 2 is still capable off.

Warning, that link has some massive screenshots. It ain't pretty...but it works and at 30fps to boot.

Now that is amazing....I wouldn't of even considered the voodoo 3 capable of running doom 3 far less for the voodoo 2, especially with 256 MB of RAM AND 12 MB of onboard video memory.

they used a patch that disables Doom IIIs need for HW T&L , and one to reduce texture size to 32x32 [ note, default doom III textures are at 512x512! ]  , no bumpmapping, it looks worse than half life I .

 but amazing nonetheless.
