In case you thought EA was done buying up sports licensing rights, EA

has just nabbed up the AFL (Arena Football) exclusive rights. Although

not nearly as popular as the NFL that they also bought up, or the NBA

which they bid for it can certainly be called a pattern now. The NHL and

MLB I'm sure are not far behind.

EA's acting like a freaking Hoo-vac these days.
Wouldn't be surprised if they sucked up a once-favourable fighting franchise next, to justify there beinga 'Marvel vs. EA'.

This is so wrong in so many ways it's not funny...to me it's more about the leagues being short-sighted than anything else...they're looking at it from the perspective that, for example, Gatorade is our official sports drink, and we wouldn't have more than one official sports drink...so it makes sense to have only one official game producer...very narrow-minded imo...I can appreciate the trend of thought...but I still think it's off...

Props to the EA marketing teams etc for pulling it off...at least now we know who's getting a fat chunk of the profits

AFL is garbage, no one watches it, no respects it, its filth. who cares, but it does show what their motives may be. AFL my a$$
