After some incredible achievements over the last year and a half, I am announcing my departure from Rev3 Games and Discovery Digital Networks. Sixteen years in front of the camera covering the videogame industry has brought me to a point where I am ready and desiring to explore new opportunities. While I would never say no to doing one more review, interview or opinion piece, the time feels right to explore new avenues inside of gaming that help further the medium. The audience, my wonderful and talented co-workers and the last year at Rev3 Games will forever be appreciated for what was accomplished. There never is a right time to part ways with something that has become as natural as breathing, but things do end and now feels right.

When he left G4 I wasn't really bothered but this really has me kinda bummed out. When he moved into Rev3games as editor in chief he really started to showcase is talent. His commentaries there were some of the most articulate and intelligent stuff I've seen when it comes to journalism in the gaming industry. Gonna miss those weekly "Sessler's.......Something" vids as well as the "let's play" vids but well, looking forward to what he does next. That bit about going into different avenues inside gaming is intriguing though.

Did some more digging. Apparently now he's president of TheoryHead which they list as a "consultancy for entertainment and media" ( gaming consultancy possibly?) . Pretty sure he'll still be around the industry just in a different capacity either way eagerly looking forward to what he does next.

Agreed in full. Respected him massively, loved his perspective. Didn't always agree with him, but I appreciated his passion for gaming and the manner in which he articulated his points. Sessler's something and casual fridays would definitely be missed.

And GG Rev3 Games.

This.

Didn't always agree with his opinion either, but I always respected it.
Not everyone will like/love what I do, and I'm OK with that.

Now there's no more reason for me to hold onto that Rev3 subscription.
Not that they aren't 'OK', but they've been left poorer by his departure.

Respected him immensely, only found myself disagreeing one or two times and that's a good thing. He respected everyone else's views as well while making his point. Ah well, Godspeed Adam. Hope he at least from time to time still does a little commentary here and there.

The word going around is that he may be getting into the indie gaming scene.

I haven't watched a review or video at rev3 unless he was in it. So I ain't even bothering again lol. I tried, but they just not the sess .

And I think he's one of the more educated reviewers out there, I can't remember ever disagreeing with one of his assessments, seems pretty spot on for my tastes.

But everybody hadda eat ah food. I wish him best of luck in his new endeavors. Not sad or disappointed Atal.

If he was fired, then id be up in arms. But if this is his choice and he think its time to move on, then cudos.
