WTK: Anyone getting an Ipad 4th gen for Christmas?

The 7" devices have less of an issue since they can easily get away with running native phone apps.

The problem is with the 10" tablets that Rage is asking about. At that size, its much more important to have native tablet apps. Android is way behind in that department. Apple is way ahead. Unfortunate but true.

In a year that point should be moot though. Just a matter of time for the developers to port their existing apps or for android developers to imitate the successful IOS apps and offer HD variants to take advantage of the higher resolution on the 10" tabs.

Yeah that's my major issue with 10" Android tabs. Using stretched out phone apps doesn't seem like fun. Things will probably change in the future, but I'd rather wait till they do, instead of being an early adopter.

Yuh know if tablet tech was like PC tech things like openGL would allow for scaling without any effort... Funny thing is that's what apple use for aqua on OSX... No clue what they use for iOS
