Need help

I have changed the lcd of this laptop to a new one from amazon, not the exact one,  i realised whe i opened the package... The screen shot shows the pc thinks its sending the correct image... But the monitor is only showing 3/4 of the width and below if you notice the little line that signifies where the taskbar is hidding is for some reason stretched extra wide below the proper desktop.....


anyone please help... re-installed drivers twice

perhaps a driver issue? Tried playing around with the res settings?

yea, i did n when i change to a lower res it becomes tiled, like when u have a small wallpaper and choose tiled on your desktop wallpaper ... So the top of the screen was below and a line separated the above and below

that may be the maximum resolution that you GPU supports hence the screen not being filled.
check that the lcd cable has no kinks or separation in it as this could be the underlying issue.
Try using an external monitor that uses the same resolution and see if the output is the same, not to sure if this works as some external projections are just blown up mirrored image of the original.

also if i change the resolution to like 800*600 it tiles the display ... like if you press tiled instead of stretch on the wallpaper for the desktop...top cut off and repasted below and the left side pasted on the right

I've never had to replace a laptop screen so this problem is new to me. I can only think of it being a hardware compatibility issue or some display setting is off. Try updating the gpu drivers if you haven't already.

Do you have AMD VISION Engine Control Centre installed?

Its an nvidia chipset iBE
