OK this isn't a comparison of WP7 to Android but more of WM 6.5

I was using android again this weekend was good-ish but i realized

I can't use Android without HTC Sense

( i used about 5 Froyo Build's I've Fully customized over the past month)

and the only REALLY annoying thing about android is the fact that u have to

be killing apps every time u open them them sometimes they don't close

and frankly in a day and a half i got fedup again and went back to WM 6.5

(which i wouldn't use either if Sense wasn't in the mix)

but also has proper task management which i don't think WP7 has yet

(correct me if I'm wrong) I'm sure if the android users start using

WM 6.5 with Sense and Cookies Home Tab they wouldn't want to go back

It have plenty mods of sense out there, cookies is a good one.
I personally prefer Mobile Shell, its more fluid, and sucks less battery life.

As far as wp7 task management, it dont need dat. U dont have to worry bout apps "crashing" in d background, or locking up, or not closing good, etc etc etc. An advantage of d strict marketplace submission process.

My wp7 on d HACKED hd2, has been runing for bout 3 weeks wihtout ah single reboot lol.
And d phone running as fast as ever. So clearly there are no memory leaks, shit hogging resources in d back etc etc. On wm6.5 woulda hada reboot by now.

Fast app switching is coming in the mango update, which u can expect to see around aug-sep.

You raise a good point there and it is something I was meaning to ask the Android users on here. I find myself having to constantly kill various services/apps that keep restarting themselves especially once I open said app. For example 2 apps that I use these days, Aldiko and Pulse start services everytime you run them. After I exit those apps there services are still running.

This reduces my battery life since I noticed the phone is a bit warmer when those services are left in the background. I confirmed this when I saw my phone temps go 2 degrees higher when they are left running. I checked the app options and there is no way to disable those services. So I am left having to stop those services manually everytime I run those apps, kinda annoying.

I tried using advanced task killer but that doesn't stop em. From what I read with 2.2 and up these autokill apps can no longer stop services automatically. Any suggestions on how I can force those services to stop automatically after I am done using the apps?

^@Woody

you tried the AVG antivirus and task manager ?

you can also try Juice Defender for battery life

but the avg sticks the phone when u installing apps

cuz while it installing it scans it at the same time...

The only time I have to reboot WM6.5 these days is when

I want to soft reset to load android  ..... otherwise its always on

I tried Juice Defender though I uninstalled it since I didn't see much use (all the features it manages I have disabled such as gps, wifi etc. lol) My brightness set to lowest. Does AVG have a services manager that can kill services? Just trying to find an easier way to manage those pesky services that seem to start and stay active after using an app.

^ yea but its built into the antivirus

just install the antivirus then open it

and go into task management and close apps

it only lists third party apps i think

so u can't close system services

Cool I'll try that since regular task manager isn't killing the services after apps like Aldiko and Pulse close
