Not exactly sure how much of a demand there is for this though as HDMI seems to have done a bloody amazing job of simplifying HT setups.
still....definitely a great step for the future. Makes wiring screens around the home dead easy, thanks to the long distance it supports and POE (power over ethernet for the uninitiated). No more eletrical wiring up in a corner to place your TV, one cable to rule them all. Amongst so many other advantages.
Future looks bright.
Not looking forward to all those adapters and converters though, until everything runs HDBaseT native.
Surprised they went with such a Techie name as opposed to something more consumer friendly like HDNet.
