You ain't never lied...
2560 x 1440 with SSAA @ 2X
Of course the fps was in the TEENS at this point.
SSAA is absolutely MURDEROUS. Only SLI/CrossfireX configs in the Titan/680/690/7970/7990 tier could run it comfortably at that res with ANY kind of SSAA.
Guru3D did a nice piece on the game's VGA performance here:
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/metro_last_light_graphics_performance_review_benchmark,3.htmlNvidia also did a nice writeup concerning all the tech on display here:
http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/metro-last-light-graphics-breakdown-and-performance-guideI found that one while looking for a way to get this game running nicely.
It's a real GPU murdera.
You're gonna want to turn SSAA off. Yes..OFF. The game engine will then default to 'regular-ass' FXAA.
Your GPU(s) will thank you for it, and reward you with smoother frame-rates.
As for the gameplay...once again 4A has done a STELLAR job with immersing you in the story and atmosphere from the word go.
I am thoroughly impressed with what I've seen thus far. Might very well be in the running for GOTY 2013.
