Ok peeps not sure if this is in the right thread but it's ole talk so here it goes heheh....
Pops had a 32" AOC lcd tv for a couple years and of course my niece usually commanded the use of it, subjecting everyone to disney etc....the horror
One day I went to use the remote and nothing....no it wasn't cracked....batteries didn't leak, it was just dead.
Possibly fell victim to being a suck toy by said niece or being dunked in a cup of juice covertly to see what happenes....
Decided to do some searching with the good old google and tried my luck on this website
http://remotes.com/You look for either the model number of the tc or the remote. They give you the option of getting a brand new remote like the original or a different one programed to use all the features of your said device as opposed to a "universal" remote.
Yes it was a gamble but it paid off as today my skybox delivered to me a brand new remote, with batteries that is exactly the same as the one that died
So if you have that gadget in the house that you can't find the remote for or got run over by the tricycle....this site my save ur ass. Not we can use all teh features on the tv again and my niece is gonna be BANNED from touching that remote without supervision.
Damage was about 45us which included shipping, not bad for a brand new replacement imho..
