Ladies and Gentlemen,

Defense of The Ancients (DOTA) has long been a favorite at GLs, despite it being based on the ancient Warcraft 3 engine. The game is a graphical embarrassment to any modern day computer with a semi-decent graphics card. Yet few newer games can boast the rabid following that DOTA developed. The diverse, addictive game play and frenetic pace has made it a near insurmountable beast for challenges to the multi-player throne.

Like all good things, the day will come, when DOTA too shall fall.

Demi God is out and you can actually play the game and pass judgement from first hand experience yourself.

League of Legends on the other hand has only just recently entered beta, so making the comparison a bit pre-mature. Hopefully we shall be able to test drive this baby ourselves see if the guys behind DOTA can out do themselves with this effort.

it just needs a lot more content.

I have a love/hate situation for DotA but anyway.
Demigod is good but meh...its not as exciting as dota per say.
Leage of legends on the other hand I have high hopes for and I just got confirmation that im a beta tester for it :Deee.

DotA won't fall. League of legends might come closest. Demigod is relli fer DotA-haters who had NO skill in DotA and finally have a "similar" enough, watered down version to play. League being developed by former DotA devs mite actually turn out to be a better game but d DotA community would be split b/w d many many "l33t"..ists and ppl who could afford to buy League....

It is only a matter of time before someone drops a game that can represent the passing of the guard for the DOTA players. Who better than one of their very own?

From the looks of things, my money is on LoL (gotta love that acronym, lol)
