I have no doubt, don't trust those extensions but one must admit, they are insanely useful.
What I'm doing currently is using Chrome and Maxthon for daily browsing. Both are great though I'm leaning more towards maxthon as it has worked where chrome has failed (viewing certain pix online and e-banking with unit trust).
Firefox will stick around for when and only when I need to use those extensions.
On a side note, IE8 works great but not better than chrome/maxthon. If you've got a powerful rig, no need to really stray from it for basic browsing.
Chrome is much smoother to use on my Windows 7 test laptop. (Now running with 1gb of ram). It takes remarkably less CPU and Disk activity to perform the same tasks/tabs/browsing. Makes a huge difference if you're using a modest machine.
