So at first glance it looks like standard hollywood horror fodder but today i had some time on my hands and chose between this and the uninvited.
Starts off in typical stupid young attractive white girl doing stupid things in horror movies but then quickly moves along to establish that it has some depth to the origins of the terror in this one.
Iam a big big big fan of jewish mythology and testament and pretty much anything they have written down over the past few thousand years, so to find out that the source of the terror in this one isnt the typical demon haunting blah blah but hauntings of a jewish persuasion! awesomes! as it seems 2009 is the year appointed bash nazis for some reason, more yay.
So the promised scene in the ad with the white girl in her panties comes along and is short lived but is like hmm ok, maybe she will ... then yup!she has a habbit of walking in undies!! yayz moar!! DOES NOT DISSAPOINT!! then there is that meagan fox girl, hot as well.
OK not going to sell out the movie but the horror will make girls scream, the imagery is actually not the usual cut and paste for this type of flick, new scares, iam always up for originality in horror genre!
THEnnnnn the biggest thrill for me was the finding out more jewish stuff!
Again not wanting to sell out the movie but... hmm some of our superstitions seem to be based on old jewish stuff.
Ill just say ONE potential spoiler... WHY WOULD YOU NAME YOUR CHILD JUMBY!! SERIOUSLY!! *sigh* @ white people always looking for dey ish in dese movies.
So id give it a 4 out of 5 for out of season horror.
