They still don't know why he did it."We do not have a motive at this time," said Officer David Schiralli, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.While Terrell sat Friday in the DeKalb County Jail, the classrooms and hallways of Central Gwinnett High School, where Terrell is a sophomore, were buzzing with word of the shooting. Terrell is charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault.Lewis Colquhoun, a freshman, said Terrell lives down the street from him and is "just chill," a cool guy. He and other classmates said they don't believe Terrell killed his mother and sisters."Everytime he talks about his mom, it's something good about her," Colquhoun said. "I don't think it's true. I don't believe it at all. He's not the kind of kid to snap."
Juvenile's 4-year-old daughter, Jelani, was found murdered on February 28, 2008 at her home in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Her mother, Joy Deleston, a 7 ½ year veteran of the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s office, and her half-sister Micaiah, 11, were also found dead. All three died of gunshot wounds.Jelani's 17-year-old half-brother, Anthony Tyrone Terrell, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in relation to the case. The motive is under investigation.[16]
