Boomers is coming!

Well it seems that Mario's has not been sleeping on themselves at all.

Boomers is the official replacement for Blimpie. It so happened I was in West Mall yesterday around 4pm, hungry as hell, and they were giving out free samples of their wraps.

I opted to try the Jerk Chicken wrap. It certainly filled the stomach, not as spicy as i though it would be, had a bit of ketchup and BBQ sauce in there, but it was good enough.

It is definitely competing with subway. with a variety as wide as that of subway. A full price list is up on the wall. Just have at least $30 spare for most 6 inch sandwich combos (incl cookie and drink) and up to $45 for the 12 inch combos.

I am actually looking forward to their official launch and will try them out.

Sounds cool. I may not be too savvy on chicken, but that Jerk Chicken wrap sounds pretty good. If anything, I guess you could say that they're already the spiritual successor to Fresh Express.

I saw a Boomers sign up in UWI earlier tonight.
A few people I talked to seem a bit skeptical about it, and nearly all of them said the same thing:
"Same restaurant, new management."

I'm willing to give them a second chance, and I'm hoping that they really pull out all the stops for this one.

F*** Fresh Express.  One of their bloody so-called 'fresh' sandwiches laid me out for a week.  Lost nearly 8 pounds
of bodily fluid in the process, and couldn't eat solid food for about 4 days without bringing back up my stomach's entire
contents.  When I heard they closed down, I was like GOOD RIDDANCE.  I can assure you, my circumstance was not
the only one, but those kinds of things you don't hear about in the news.

remember this is a 6-inch combo... includes a cookie and a drink. The sandwich by itself hopefully should be close to par price with subway..

next time i come across Boomers I'll go formally taste their sandwich...

I'll pass on this. The only one convenient to me is the U.W.I. one, and I don't eat in U.W.I. on principle.
