9800GTX is coming out this year , probably you can get a good 9800GTS for an affordable price then.


 Another reason.. you can do your homework (or pretend to) and beast game as well :D .

Alot of Xbox 360 games will be ported to PC sooner or later . I'm looking forward to Mass Effect more than anything else .

And well Starcraft II and strategy games on the whole  can't be done properly on a console .


Also.. Mods available for pc games extend their lifetime greatly e.g. DOTA , counterstrike , Insurgency .
