You asking allot man, this is a US$200 device, lets say best case scenario, it's multiple of 6, that is a TT$1200 device for a child to use, I don't think it feasible, then you forgetting running cost, then internet access, and the fact that not everyone can afford something this 'cheap' (as that is a relative term, since we are comparing it to more expensive devices in its class).
However, given enough NGO/NPO's i suppose anything is possible
I following this and the OLPC for a while now, even tried out the OLPC OS.
I'd be super interested in how to get another distro on there, prob some kinda USB network install drama, but there is time...
I will admit though i hadn't expected it out this soon, a nice surprise. As well as the upgrade to ddr2, it was ddr when last i check...
