wintry i know you does give real talks, i think everyone knows that and we know you not being malicious. yet when you give talks you have to leave room for men that go make you want to eat them words you say (XBL have real bush and it have ears). believe me when i say any mention of banter was not referring to you. to put it correctly is the little minions that were associating with you all leading up to the match that we talking about. plus were not even being malicious or holding animosity thats just fermin way of applying the salt vigorously.
Redlum i agree better planning needed "if" we have a rematch. we can all enjoy another friendly game if we keep the old talk up and the banter minimal.

Whoa Wyatt. what you dont understand is the banter didnt start here. the banter started on XBL. I heard ppl calling my name and i never even play with/against them. personally i asked most of the clan to stay cool and carefree about it but too much banter came back to our ears. whats worse was the "nobodies" who were causing the banter. Now I was just content with making a few guys shut up but in the end we had to make a whole team salty. Sadly the talk reach to what Fermin had to post. Plus is they that say the match was for bragging rights.
Finnally i have no issue really with a rematch but the problem was simply this 1 after the first match (which jarrox hosted) we asked if they wanted to switch host. 2 when they lost the second match they switched to redlum's host 3 after we won since it was a best of 5, men began complaining about lag and connection. ( i must say the real sportsman was jarrox who had to make the men face reality that they loss and to move on ). we never had a chance to host a match and the host were ppl they agreed upon.
So unless we can all agree on atleast 3 hosts and how ever we connect to them the game still stands valid and all banter about lag mute then it makes no sense having a rematch.
*as i now see this post* wintry if one thing ill give you is you have mouth. do worry we go walk with more salt next time.

Honestly, I now really don't see how this gonna affect system sales. I remember they touting GTA will sell consoles, I hope thats not what they're banking on this time. How did Blue Dragon do sales wise ? Multiplatform in the US only I assuming also ?
you see you need to take this announcement for what its worth. i dont think its a console killer but its going to make you think twice when the game is released. if FF13 was still a sony exclusive then it would have forced the undecided to make a hard decision. now that its a multiplatform it just makes the playing field level. gta4 was a huge gobble for M$ as it could have meant death for them if it was a sony exclusive. this i think is their strategy. to remove the platforms that would elevate sony ahead of them. FF13 and resident evil 5 are examples of that. i think though that right now both companies are in Wii damage mode control as they are losing casual gamers to the wii. i myself still thinks that Wii still lacks staying power but knowing nintendo they probably key up so Pokemon games when things get bad.

Zero Media is pretty cool. the guys there are alright and Shane the guy that does most of the repairs is pretty helpful. i think its kinda pricey to repair a RROD 360 but it will cost you about $600 (same price as a software mod) to have it repaired if it can be repaired in the first place. the also fix and mod Wii although since i dont own one i wouldnt know the prices.

^ Ever played Silent Hill? Best 3rd person survival horror, not including SH4 of course. F.E.A.R. is nothing compared to that in terms of scariness but I guess is what type of gameplay you prefer. I like both.
As for the RE5 comment , didn't it bother you when a white guy was plowing through a zombified Spanish village in RE4?
i think in terms of sillent hill part 2 is a classic. it was creepy and had a well thought out plot. the problem though with these games is the backtracking and messed up camera. the reason i say fear cause i know alot of ppl who couldnt finish fear cause it had the really really subtle elements that can cause long term trauma. plus the fact that your in first person mode places you in the story rather than in a more cinematic presence. not that third person is bad but it can almost give you that self assurance that your looking at someone in a scary situation rather than transplanting you into it. silent hill 2 really ranked high on the shit myself meter but fear left a huge i may never play this game again feeling. Capcom is as traditional as traditional japanese business models get i.e. find something that works beat it to death, give it some cybernetic parts and beat it to death again (megaman anyone). i find it hard to believe that Capcom will tastefully make a game where a white guy mows through black villagers. its probably going to have almost every african cliche ever imagined, mix in some mysticism for good measure. ill probably still try the demo if and when its made available in market place but i dont expect much.

im kinda two minded about COD. took me a while to even consider getting it and even when i did i hardly played it. i mostly tried the multiplayer which i think is better on split screen as a replacement for halo 3 which my friends absolutely hate. funnily enough i loved COD 1. it was different but it came at a time when WW2 games were cool. now they are a dead horse and while killing aliens is also a dead horse im much prevy to beat that with a stick. im tired of germans, arabs and vietnamese and Farcry 2 will probably have you killing africans with its beautiful bush fire physics. what id love is to get my hands on UT3 and maybe as an added Xbox bonus have the guys from GOW as a team. that way i get twice the cole pwnage.

im one of those who thinks the 360 hardware is a bit clunky when you consider the failure rate but its one of my better buys this year. like said before the GOW sweat is to die for, once your not lagging or dying cause someone stuck a shotgun up your backside (insert a random tgl clan member ). as for grid, well grid is gods gift to drivers. its not too sim and not too arcade and has the best downhill drift since i watched initial d series. its a racing persons game and although it lacks all the fancy customizations and large car libraries of other games, it makes it up with it variety of racing styles. a true 5 out of 5 game. it more than makes up for the very poor pro street from EA and my disappointment in burnout paradise. im also not really sad about missing MGS4 and while im talkin about that, the rumour mill is a buzz about a big huge e3 m$ announcement featuring a so called MSG4 killer that they purchased a company to acquire. now i hate rumours and even more so "game killers" cause they never live up to the hype and are often bland copies of the game they are trying to replace. either that or it takes so long to release that youve lost interest ( too human ). so ill wait an see for myself.

i kinda expected Alone in the dark to be not so hot. its hard to make a truly creepy third person experience without some aspect of the gameplay ruining it (a longer discussion for another time ). i think first person is a much better medium, just take a look at fear and the very creepy condemn series. survival horror games are always a hit an miss with me. i keep looking for that moment where i get scared shyteless by a flock of crows ( like in resident evil 3 ). sadly it never comes and now that the patterned RE controls and camera a staple of most of these games, they mostly suck. i was kinda glad when RE4 killed that in favour of the over the shoulder type experience. i doubt ill play RE5 though. there just isnt something right about playing as a white guy plowing through a zombified african village. it just doesnt settle with me quite right. capcom isnt the most sensitive company i know and ill have to see a few more gameplay elements to be convince this wont end up a kkk best buy.

well it can also be a social welfare scam. having lived in the uk a bit you see that often, young uk women gettin knocked up for benifits. most of the times that means a housing flat and living expenses paid for by the jolly of gov't. plus they get paid for per child since the gov't sees children as an investment in future earnings. you always hear about some council house jail bait that cant stand their parents telling them to slow down, gettin pregnant so they can move out. only to shaft them with it and splurge with their welfare money. i dont know whats on these gilies minds but it certainly aint school work.

But everybody with 360 wants metal gears no?
well thats like saying ppl with a ps3 want to play gears. fact is everyone wants to play a good game but choosing a console is a pretty much 5yr decision ( unless you a big shot who can afford more than one ) which means you resign yourself to not having certain games in exchange for others. to me a 360 mean no Final Fantasy XIII but it also meant Infinate discovery and lost odyssey as well as gears of war. you win some and you lose some and hope they come out on pc O_o (wow havent posted in years)

sad isnt it. when a game thats a cult classic is pimped out. *sigh* as you guess aftermath was shelved cause why sell one game when you can split it into 3 and make 3x the money.
*spoiler*
EP1 takes place rigt when the citidel exploded with you and alex escaping. the purpose of this expansion is to give you more back ground into the mysterious combine (which you spend more much on HL2 killing ). there is no word about the role MR M will play in this series or whether we will finnaly find out who he reall is. it sucks though cause aftermath was originally plan to start with alex playable searching for Freeman who as the ending shows was warped during the citidel explosion.
*end spoiler*
oh well i guess Value are going milk their cow. hope its just as good, a sucky HL game is unaceptable

its complete ballz when you think about it. when XP was released M$ claimed that DX8.1 was a special build for XP only and you would not see it on 98. few months after XP release DX8.1 was released for 98. why cause game designers would not give up on 98. now since MS has official abandoned 98 some game makers are forced to make 2000/xp only games simply due to lack of support.
all this talk about dx10 not being availible on xp is crap. it simply wont float since that would mean either gamemakers are only going to make games for Vista or are not going to make DX10 games or move completely to openGL2.all unlikely. not everyone is going to upgrade and gamemakers have to make sure as many ppl as possible can buy their product.
also its insulting to think that Halo2 which is almost now which when release will be what 2yrs old. insulting. Ubisofts new game (can remember but its the usual cyrtek pun name like far cry) and UT2007 are suppose to be DX10 and i doubt they will be limited to vista.

having played NFS MW i must say that the change in the gamepay is for the worst. i mean once your over the dazzling graphics your realise its a adverage game with alot of repetive game play. its greatest downfall is its greatest feature. the pursuit feature is cool police chases but for everyone one the blacklist you have to do a chase and some chases are long and take you throughout the city. since the regular races are on the roads of those same cities you play the same places over and over and over. plus the momentum from the first race is lost when you realise the cutsceenes are over and you have 15 ppl to beat. NFS U2 was ground breaking, NFS MW is just boring. dont get me started with KOTOR2 ill tip my hat to advent rising.

ppl the only thing that pisses me off about Advent Rising is I WANT TO PLAY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the game F'n dread. i sounding like a beat up record or a wednesday but dread i had to ad me 2cents. jeeeeeeeer thankfully its part of a three part series so i wont have to wait long.
as for bugs. yes there are bugs. like main some pc games you get some hick ups and there are targeting issues BUT when you get your abilities LOL who needs a gun MUAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! its the best mixture of abilities and gunplay ive seen and its much better than most of what the critics pick.
Fear is a bad game. the bullet time story but for just pure fun Advent beat it and it runs on Unreal 2 engine so its not a machine killer like Fear. the only thing you regret is that when its over there is no more to play.

When starcraft 2 coming out yuh know how long fellas and girls waiting for dis Blizzard reall stickin. I think they were trying to get a more in-depth story as they were trying to create a real language for the Protoss ah well i guess ill wait for tohers to come out "sigh"
there is starcraft ghost which is a thrid erson game set in the stargraft universe. mind you it isnt waht fans had in mind and this game has been in slippage for almost 2yrs so who knows. i remember when Westwood had alomst killed the C&C franchise with renegade and accomplished it with generels. no wonder blizzard is caustious with its classic. ppl on that list alyuh forget INDIGO PROPHCY and SERIOUS SAM 2 along with the Suffering 2

trini, that was one of the worst opening statements you ever made, PC games making more profits than consoles? name 1 developeror publisher who stopped making console games and went to do pc games instead because of profits. your statement is wrongside.
Um Monolith. many of the exworkers for Square left and made Monolith which is now a premiere PC gaming company. their first hit NOLF was a pc title an they are avid pc producers. in fact over the years they have made more money than squaresoft. they have re-entered into console after regaining the license to Xenogears and make Xenosaga along with other games. ive personally always pondered going back to consoles but i find them so limited that its almost to quote shivadee " i feel like im getting robbed ". i see shivadee point cause evertime i have to upgrade i decide whether that $2000+ should go towards a console or a single GFx card. then i play HL2 on full or Doom3 on full or even SC: Chaou Theory on full and i remember why i did it. true we often dont get sexy new paper reports and glamourous news articles but we still are the backbone of gaming. with most of the top selling games being pc games. plus even if money talks GFX talk more. Ati and Nvidia are he choice of the nextgen consoles but they have to push the industry so they can make money. thats why the TWIMTBP ( the way its ment to be played) was set up by Nvidia. to push the industry. the PC is the future where the ideas are created and the consoles are the present. the result of that future. now let meh just deal a little with what shivadee said about the pc and sale and money. now forgeting what i said earlier answers what he was saying. the fact is ppl forget that the pc gaming market here is different to that in america or europe. a game worthy pc can be purchase for £250-£400. since the bundle deals are great buying a system isnt as inacessible as you would think. plus not all pc games are high-gfx games. fact that most pc gamers are women (wait) since ( you bet ) more women play games online ( lol ) on their pc. now they may not be gamers in the frag night aspect but it whats butters EA bread. Sims is by far the larges PC franchise and gaming franchise probably only outsold by GTA3 and Metal Gear. not to mention the million dollar industry that is MMORPGs ( like beago said ). with almost a new MMORPG being release every other month. we have seen almost every large developer make some type of experience. this is an experience which often isnt translated properly to a console cause you still need that keyboard. mics are nice but then cause language barriers. funnily enough if anything thats going to come out of this new nextgen war is proabably more games for the pc as coding for the console will become closer to pc ( like what trini said ). your probably going to get more pc ports of console games. hell fable, xmen ledgends 2 and ultimate spiderman all console orignals now on the pc. i could argue more everyone on this thread seems to agree with me ( with the exception of laertes and shivadee )

ive been seein the reviews and most ppl who havent played the game hate it. go figure but the same ppl who hate FF-SW movie so ill take that with a pinch of salt. i like spirits within which like Kaizen said wasnt the fancyfull tale but a simple story based on FF philosophy. ppl tend to forget that what makes Final fantasy, final fantasy isnt the Visuals, Summons, gameplay its the philosphy behind the gameplay and its part in the storyline. ill wait for the subbed version and see.
