Tekken 6 is in Galactica in Trincity but the setup is HORRIBLE.
You have to have fingers like ET to play on that. Imagine playing tekken on a mortal kombat 3 setup minus the block button. Three button and four button inputs are a pain. The game timer is set to 40 seconds to make up for the fact that after you lose, you have to wait until the winner is about to fight the cpu before the coin you put in can activate the game.
Fun times if you already have carpal tunnel.

Tried the p90x. It's good if you haven't been doing anything physical. I got it for the ab workouts. As for the rest of it, it was pretty much doable. I'd find myself having to up my reps on the exercises or sets to get a good burn. There are worse things out there than p90x but it's not bad at all.

It's the Baka Survivor!!! Holee Crap. Haven't seen him fight in a while. I love watching Aoki work rubber guard. He has a psychotic double kung fu move thing that he used to get a two sided gogo from mount on some dude. I think it was Joachim Hansen or something.
I've been to what I think is the Tiger System School. Not very impressed but I suppose something is better than nothing.
Exar, as far as grappling goes, the best art we have down here is Judo. The guys that dominate the local MMA scene are generally Judoka.
Yes, Hinds does fight at 185 in that area.

It's pretty nice how they mentioned that keron fights at 155 and adam is 173 - 180 around there. Skill is a factor yes but come on man, let's be realistic here.
Crixx, I was talking about the mousassi vid. It's either I still have the wrong vid or my vision is seriously off.

look like he was attempting a kosoto gake and ended up just throwing him down, followed up with kesa gatame and pwnage punches.
Lol he did look sort of bored though. Sigh @ short fights.
Nothing near a kosoto gake to be seen there, neither a kesa gatame. Am I watching the wrong fight here?

The local MMA scene is geared too much toward making money rather than establishing a stable community and recognition nationwide. The payoffs haven't changed much from the time they started the CFC series of tournaments till now. Pretty sad.
Nice to see Keron being himself.

Yeah. Though I'm no expert with Gief, I would have expected more [EX] Banishing Flats and Lariats to keep 'Rog honest. He gave him way too much room to work with there. Gief is supposed to have the advantage in this match.
BTW, with the possible exception of Wong vs. Daigo, all Rog matches are boring. So are most (all?) matches with Sagat, Blanka, Chun-li, Bison ( ), Honda. At last half the cast actually.
Correction. All SF4 matches are boring. Rog vs Gief is pretty even if not Rog's advantage slightly. The mindgame and patience is what will win gief this match. Regardless, the game still sucks ass.

You mean AC like Anime City AC? If so man, the 3 1/2 hour wait should be justifiable.

Oh yea man, sorry about that. I forgot it was Valentine's day. The lady made quite the stir so...yea. I got there just around 8:30. 3 1/2 hrs isn't THAT long of a wait man.

I really thought that somehow, Akini was going to pop up in this as "that guy" she was talking about. Aye bro, long time no see. Well yea fellas, I'll just say, that locally this, guy is the best SC player I've ever played. I've said this already too. I've only gotten 1 or 2 wins every few dozen games.
Hell, seems there's a reason to pull Astaroth out of retirement from SC4. Seems like you're on XBL. I walk a different path so I don't know how an SC4 skirmish can take place without some creativity. But yea, I should be around in Trinicity Mall around 5pm on Saturday. Let's get this started.
Wait, Eroo are you Limit GTX? I think some party we both can connect to has to create a game that we both join. Sometimes that crashes the room entirely and sometimes it boots the people that can't connect out leaving the host. Either way it means no game. What I can do is send someone who can connect to you to Screw Pile Driver the life out of you on my behalf. If you can beat Villadoza or Sir_Papacha's Zangief then you have a chance albeit a miniscule one, at winning against me.
Anyway I'm off to the Dragon Punch Temple to meditate. Word.

Wow...I haven't been on here in ages. I'll try to dust the cobwebs off of this account a little more regularly.
On to business then. Well said laertes. I couldn't agree more. As much as I disliked SC3 for numerous reasons, I picked it up because people in Trinicity mall were playing it. I go where the competition is generally. It just so happens that Astaroth is god in that game so it made the experience more tolerable. Still, it wasn't as horrible as some of the times I've had playing Tekken though.
Who's this Chinarakinda person? I play at Trinicity from time to time. If you'd like to play SC 1-3 we could arrange something but as with my experience, it's the hardest thing to get people to come out of their hiding places to come play. Make sure to bring your friend too if you decide to make the outing. Send me a private msg so we can coordinate timing and all that if you still give one enough to come out from behind your pc screen.
In Fighting game related news, I found Prez on psn. Seems he plays hd remix with some of the online top dogs.
Oh yea, if anyone here is on PSN and wants to go at it in SC4 and HD Remix my PSN Handle is Imperial_X

Stupid question here but does anyone here have or play Soul Calibur 4? I'm probably the only idiot running this. Ah well, jesus still loves me...hopefully.

Funny this. It's more than reasonable to assume that if you're running then there's no way in hell Kimbo can beat you. He's never been in that kind of shape. But to say that you could last a round with him in a ring is different story. I think few people give kimbo the credit he deserves being a self-taught street fighter.
Yes he has lost street fights but still man, respect given where it is overdue. The man is an underground legend.

Soul Calibur 1,2 & 3 player. I'm a message away if you want competition. But then again, I don't think I'd be the best opponent to start on. That's just my opinion though.

Any kickboxers up in here? JUst started back training and weights lifting. The pain is tooo much when u havent lifted a barbell in three years.
I'm not a kick boxer per se but I do have advice on training and prepping for fights. Anyway whiplash, what you experience is a normal thing. It happens when we all stop and then start back...or when we initially start. For kick-boxing in any case, shouldn't you be building your cardiovascular endurance before you hit weights? It makes no sense fighting with an Ura Renge in your arsenal and you're too tired to use it. Start off with some form of circuit training, light running, swimming, core drills, resistance training, shadow boxing, movement drills and light sparring. Any combination of these workouts will help you get back into the groove faster than you think. I forgot though. Remember to stretch properly. Stretch during your non-training days, before training and after training. This does wonders to fight cramps and aid your ease of movement. Leg stretchs would be more important than the hand stretches as you may not use your legs to such a degree consistently (unless you're a pole dancer) So work the hamstrings, glutimus, hip flexors, knees, calves, thighs, and groin. That's just off the top of my head though.
