Having a problem with my home network:
Once anyone is watching a video, streaming, torrenting etc. gaming simultaneously is impossible.
i have a 2Mb connection shared on 4 machines but as soon as 1 person starts to watch video everyone elses' connection becomes useless.
from research i've read about QoS on the router but am not sure how to go about doing that.
Pretty much what i'm hoping to achieve is for Browing and Gaming to have Highest priority on the network and video streaming to have lowest.
attached is a printscreen of my QoS settings but everything in there seems like Jibberish to me.
plz help <3
P.S. it's a DHCP Network (if that information is relevant)

BTW he is attempting to run a RAID as well as individual data drives (not part of the raid)

model drives: 2 * 160GB WD Caviar Black in raid 0 (speed)
1* 640GB WD caviar Black (data drive)
1* 1TB WD Caviar Green (data drive)
the 2 160 GB in the raid 0 works fine once none of the others are installed.
as soon as any of the other drives are installed the machine reuses to boot saying that it has no boot device.
everything is fine in the BIOS with the boot priority as follows CDROM/DVDROM RAID
SATA ports were tried on all 3 settings (IDE, RAID, AHTPI* i think)

hi all,
i'm posting this for a friend.
he recently got a second hand machine from someone and is currently trying top setup RAID (speed). While the RAID was sucessful, any additional HDDs he plugged into the other SATA ports have caused the machine not to function.
i.e. the machine refuses to boot into the installed OS when the additional drives are installed.
could anyone tell me if his motherboard can handle both RAID as well as single drives.
his motherboard is the ASUS ROG RAMPAGE EXTREME.
thanks a lot.
