Archer, play with with 2 or 3 trinis, most of the time we will get host (PC i.e.) and you won't lag as much.

I still don't understand why so much people hate MW2, I loved it and still do, I love MW1 as well and I'm going to love MW3 all the same. It will be even better than MW2 because of native dedicated servers.
If you don't like it, don't bash the people that do, calling them retarded/dumb/ignorant/{insert_insult_here}. People have different tastes and some people still love the cod series, saying things like "they haven't seen the light, they're idiots" is just a matter of opinion and one that you're entitled to, however, this kind of talk only leads to repeated verbal abuse and division among gamers.
They're 2 DIFFERENT games;
- one has small maps and close combat play.
- the other insanely large maps, vehicles and long distance combat.
Trying to compare them is like comparing football and cricket (not the best example I know), they appeal to different and varying audiences and as such you have to accept that not everyone will have the same opinion as you.
This also applies to all the cod guys bashing the BF fans. I admit I spout my biased claims as well, but I do it all in good nature when I know that the atmosphere is friendly and nothing will be taken seriously.
This isn't aimed at anyone in particular but to all those who have had something negative to say about cod fans.

This will make my transition from MW2 over to MW3 ever so better. Nice pings on the trini MW2 server will continue onto the trini MW3 server  On a side note, I don't have any LAN rig either Arc, I just get accustom to beating men on my laptop :|

The Call of Duty series has struggled with the PC audience in the last few years. Modern Warfare 2 had no support for dedicated servers at all, making it tricky for PC gamers to build their own communities. Black Ops supported dedicated servers, but you had to rent them from a single source; it was impossible to set up your own server without paying a third party. In a move that will be sure to make PC gamers happy, Modern Warfare 3 is bringing free dedicated servers. "Free dedicated servers for #MW3 PC confirmed!" Glen Schofield, the CEO of Sledgehammer Games, said on Twitter. "We are excited to be bringing this back to Modern Warfare." This is great news. It's now possible for anyone to host their own server, provided they have the necessary hardware and a fast connection. There are a few downsides here, as this opens the door for players having full access to the servers they run, which will increase the chances we'll see cheats and exploits on some servers run by unscrupulous players. Still, this is an issue that PC gamers have dealt with since the beginning of the hobby, and it's a small price to pay for the ability to build and run our own communities of players. And what happened after? He got his MC banz0rd  Advantages of AlterIW?: Dedicated servers Multiple Admins Player Stats tracking (kdr/rounds/longest killstreak, medals etc) A variety of mods need I say more?

So does anyone play AlterIW's Modern Warfare 2? Because we have some dedicated servers up and looking for more men to jump in the sweat. On our servers we have statistics so men can keep track of how many kills, deaths they have, killstreaks, deathstreaks and you can earn medals for your accomplishments. You have to check and see if it's FPS lag or latency lag you getting. Fraps could also be lying to you about the FPS you're getting, happened to me in MW2.
Try lowering all the ingame video settings to low/off, turn off bullet impact, specular map etc. Everything that can be turned off, turn it off, everything that can be set to Low, lower it.
IF you using a router, try connecting directly to your modem, see if that helps, if that's not an option, try disabling WiFi and make sure you're the only one connected to the router. If still no dice, then.... let somebody make a private match with just you and them, see if you lagging. If you not lagging, have them invite a few other people as well and try again. If you not lagging while about say 8-10 people in the game, then it's latency lag. If that's the case you need to sue your ISP :|

Well boy...my first foray into the BlOps world was a dismal one at best.
In about 10 games or so...I aint kill a single man. I'm very serious...not ONE. 
I never see a set a woefully inaccurate rookie weapons in a game yet. Or maybe it was the lag...I don't know, but my confidence has been rattled to its very core.
Lemme reboot and see yes.
