my point exactly.

just goes to show that ultra violent gory media (guess what, that
includes games) like this should be kept out of the hands of young,
impressionable kids.

It can create psychos and at the very least, fuel them.

anybody know why the dc's at TSTT is blocking port 110 at their gateway
router? ALL pop3 access to inside is blocked from outside, including
Carib-Link, TSTT, and any other POP3 server on dial-up and DSL.

The Archive / RE: {GATT} Mobile Internet iwmc!
« on: July 01, 2004, 02:32:30 PM »
I see you're a month to month looking kinda fella. According to the info
posted, the unlimited is $150/mo, compared with $400/mo dialup. We
not comparing DSL because it's not a "mobile" connection, i.e. you can't
use it somewhere else.

you don't need much for a gprs capable setup. any laptop and a gprs
card or link to cell. you save over $200/mo and still get internet access,
except now you can roam.

i'm sure i'm just about the only tech person still walking around with a
6120 that can't even send an sms. i see allyuh big boys coasting all kinda
fancy thing with colour screens and gprs built in.

what's in your pocket, beeatch?

The Archive / RE: {GATT} A more pressing TSTT question...
« on: June 30, 2004, 11:28:00 PM »
It looks to me like the 23cents unlimited will definitely be the first thing
to go. Yanking out that simple plan will absolutely KILL the dial-up ISP
competition. I could live with a 40c/call flat fee, or maybe even 50c.

Even in Grenada, local calls are FREE. Land line to land line = $0.00 per
call.

So exactly how much does TSTT plan to increase the domestic rates by?

I mean, thank God and everything for the halved overseas rates, seeing as I
and so many other people spend hours everyday speaking to people in foreign
countries, but how much of the "cost recovery" will fall on my shoulders?

In fact, shit...if TSTT had cut rates as far back as three years ago it
could have cut my overseas bill by 50%!

Over the last three years I would have saved 50% of $0!!!! Oh
Father...imagine what I'll be saving now!

Btw...why doesn't TSTT introduce plans like those foreign companies?

For instance, I only spend significant time on the phone with one person who
lives in Barataria, and she only spends time on the phone with me. I'd
gladly sign up for one of those "frequently-called" plans even if it meant
paying a flat rate or paying extra on normal calls.

The M-zone (mobile net) feature will only be available for GSM postpaid at
1st.
But, good news for ALL GSM mobile customers come August 1st 2004 (in case u
didnt see the newspapers today). See the attached file for new GSM
pricing/plan structures.

A new 75min postpaid plan is being introduced.
And, the other existing plans getting their free mins bumped up for the same
price (e.g. 100min plan becomes 150min & 200min becomes 300min, etc).

The Archive / RE: {GATT-Tech} Last night I learned how to...
« on: June 25, 2004, 10:02:07 AM »
MYIE installs a JAVA environment? Does it also include the latest
Flash/Director plug-ins? serious questions btw, because you're making it
sound like everything is included and you never have to download anything
once you install MYIE.

I know IE doesn't come with JAVA installed, so you need to download Sun's
java. What about all those Macromedia downloads you have to do with a fresh
IE install? MYIE includes all that in it's installation, or does it depend
on an already pumped up IE installation?

Cliff notes:
What would happen if you install MYIE on a FRESH XP install? Do you get
JAVA, Flash, Director, etc, or do you need to download them separately?

talk to the I.

Ok I have not looked at Opera since I found MYIE. I will go look for it ad
check it out.

MYIE did not require you to go get extra pluggins to open pages and I
can't remember the last time I came across scripting errors as those in IE
or not opening as in Firefox...WEAK FIREFOX....unimpressive IE
