Is it easy to setup a server though for lan play?

Yep, it's pretty simple. Mame32 Plus+ has the Kaillera server and client integrated into it.

The Java 4K contest is an annual event that features fully playable games that are only 4096 bytes in size!

The focus is on creating an innovative game in Java within the 4KB size constraint.

This year's contest was just recently completed. Check out the games here: http://www.java4k.com/index.php?action=home

An amazing F2P MMO that has won an award for best F2P MMO of 2008 (according to Ten Ton Hammer http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/60341)

Its combat system is turn-based, but its really interesting as it forces you to think in the battle and not just spam skills.

Has anyone played it?

I played it a while ago. It has an interesting dual class system and is heavily focused on questing and not so much on grinding.

I play a Scout/Priest dual.

Have any of you guys played a game called Passage? It's a 5 minute game that's pretty interesting...
Try it out here: http://hcsoftware.sourceforge.net/passage/ and discuss.

[Do yourself a favour and read the creator's statement AFTER you've played the game -  http://hcsoftware.sourceforge.net/passage/statement.html]
