Sony PlayStation / Re: Trini LBP Level - Odyssey of Dementia

I detect some local folklore in the design of that stage, or was it inspired by a childhood dream?
It wasn't inspired by a childhood dream, however, both local and foreign folklore may have inspired me to create such an atmosphere but I didn't have any direct influences by them. I just "went artistic" in my mind and created what I view to be three different views of beauty based on the different periods of my life. I just wanted to express those while adding a unique spin on the "survival" mode of typical LBP levels incorporating a hidden puzzle element with an environment that changes slightly depending on how you choose to play. Of course, because it is deeply artistic, there are many interpretations that can apply.

I've recently bought LBP2 and I'm gonna be working, whenever I have free time, on a new level definitely inspired by the Metal Slug franchise. It's still in the pre-design stages so I don't know if I'll be trying anything original and ambitious but as soon as I get it running perfectly I will post it on GATT.
I was working on another level for LBP that would've been original and ambitious but I ultimately scrapped it for my Metal Slug-ish level. I may step back to it once this level is completed.

Btw, did you try out my first level: "The Experiment" by Sudesh?

However, when I tried the UK store, I accessed the free games thing and it then disappeared. When I tried to go back to get my free inFAMOUS etc., nothing. In services list, it showing that I have 0 remaining redemptions for that free game thing. So I guess EU is out, except for the free dynamic themes and avatars I took with PSPlus.
I finally found the inFAMOUS and Ratchet....it was in the "Downloads List" in the UK account.

Ico/Shadow coming out September.
I'll pass on the PSV for the while.

This error thing is really out of hand. I know it has to be with the amount of users accessing the network, but it is horrible. I downloaded a few of the free Home items (when I did get through the errors) and now I'm getting a X80710D36 error when trying to "verify purchased items" when connecting to Home. Apparently everyone is getting it.
I really hoped to enjoy watching E3 live in Home but I guess that's a no-no. At least there's the PSBlog.

About the multiple accounts. My plan was to get SSHD and WipEout with the US (which I did after winning a battle against errors), inFAMOUS and Ratchet with the UK.
Now, I'm waiting for Japan and Hong Kong to sort out their packages. I doubt India would have anything.
I guess the only thing bothering me right now is accessing Home to get the free items. I hope the traffic significantly drops before the 30 days are up.

If you're not seeing the list of free games after doing the 'get now' part of the transaction then:
Go to the XMB and under the PlayStation Network column, go to Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions

No way....If this outage was because PSN got hacked again, then this might just be World War III (virtual WWIII)...nah not really, but I'd sure like to see a movie on this whole Sony vs. Hackers situation.
I was now starting to get back on track. At least I got to re-sync my trophies and enjoy some Apocalypse multiplayer.

EDIT: So here's the reason - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/15/update-on-service-restoration-rollout/

Thanks BloodyAvatar.
I actually saw this on Joystiq some days ago and I took no interest. I didn't know the RetroMapPack was one of the prizes. I also took that Corvette.

Things running smooth now so the action start.
I still have to try using the Move online. I was hoping to try the Move co-op offline but I didn't get a chance yet to see if the option is even there.

My bro is the one who plays Killzone. I can't shoot at all with analogue. Now, I'm shooting with Move! This thing real accurate and it just perfect for me. I have a reason to play FPSs now...once it using Move.

To Blu_ViCe: Set the DeadZone to zero for both vertical and horizontal, though I feel you did that already.

Apparently I'm not the only one facing this MP issue. Everytime my brother starts a MP, it hangs on 'connecting'. Up to now, I haven't enjoyed MP on this demo. I think it's nonsense. I can only hope that this doesn't happen in the real game. But other than that, they've really improved plenty stuff from KZ2. The controls are smoother now on the controller. My brother likes how they've really improved the points system with all the assist points and mission-contribution points. However, I think they should bring back the Tactician's spawn-grenade...or make something similar. Gametrailers.com said the rest of my views, but somehow I feel I might like the story more than KZ2.

I have some programming experience. I have done Java and Visual Basic. I believe they say that if you know either Java or C++, it is easy to understand the other.

In fact, I have made a menu-centred game using Java while I was learning it! It's not much but I'm really a game designer at heart and starting a fire in Trinidad in the gaming industry gets my support.

I actually have a dream game, but I'd like to keep the concept to myself in fear of someone stealing my idea. I believe that the console generation after the PS3/Xbox360 would be able to handle my concept. But that's a really big dream-game...not no PSN mini.

I can also draw and I'm very much into details. I'm still a novice with virtual animation since I prefer to draw with my hand on paper (traditional ink-and-paint etc).

So, while I'm interested, I dunno anything about making a game for a console!

This is something I did in 2005 while learning to program in Java. I just decided to do my own thing and this came about. There are no graphics, only menus.

I'll appreciate any feedback :hello:.

Before I updated to 1.05, I attempted to do a data transfer from my old PS3 (yloded twice) to my Slim. That was priority since I didn't know if the old PS3 would ylod if I started GT5 to do a big update. Not a good risk.

After the data transfer was complete, I noticed that the GT5 "Save Data" was ripped (moved) from the old PS3 to the Slim. The "Game Data" was copied fine, without any change in the file size.

I booted up GT5 on the Slim to verify that all my progress was there. Everything looked fine. Cars were there, progress, items, settings, level and licences. What wasn't there was most important to me. I don't mind doing over the licences, leveling up from zero or getting back cars. What I lost was my photos, replays and custom courses, the first two I don't mind losing. From the in-game manual, I realised that those things were saved on the "Game Data" which showed up to me as 7231MB, which was transferred to the Slim so there shouldn't have been a problem.

That pissed me off the whole day yesterday and I still feel angry.
I just hate to lose something that I've created, being a creator by lifestyle.

I updated both PS3s' GT5 to 1.05 in an attempt to do the "Save Data" backup which is now allowed with this update. Booting up GT5 on the old PS3 showed that all progress was gone but all my courses, replays, photos were there! I copied the "Save Data" from the new PS3 into the old one and everything was good. I did a re-save and copied that "Save Data" to the Slim to see if a 'link' to the "Game Data" could be restored. Didn't work.

I tried tweeting Yamauchi-san about it today. I hope something can be done. I know people can say that you can randomly generate a track and it would look professional and it may be better than the ones I've done before, but it feels hard that I've given those tracks some effort, meaningful names, meaningful curves that I wanted to keep and plus some are on YouTube.
My solution would be for PD to release an update that would allow the exportation and importation of courses to/from HDD. That way I can get those courses outta my old PS3 and into my Slim. Sounds like an easy solution to me, hope they take me on.

:'( Sorry, GT5 messing me up after a data-transfer from old ps3.
Hope I didn't offend anyone. LBP2 is a great game. I was extremely glad and proud to get through to the Beta. I do a lot of creating (in any game) so I hope people would get to try out my levels. I may not get LBP2 early (depends on cash), I'd rather save up for KZ3 for my brother.

Btw, I was disappointed that a thread was created with the 1st post lacking any sort of introduction to the game, which is not cool by my standards expecially since it shows that I did the first post of this official thread. Felt like someone didn't care and just threw out a post to start the thread.

Here's the "Endless Fun" trailer:

Thanks for being nice, I think I'll stick with PSNTT when it comes to 'non-shooter' games.
