Hardware, Tweaking & Networking / Flow Coaxial cable type
« on: October 19, 2018, 08:02:56 AM »
Good day folks I’m sure I’ll get this information quickly here.

Is the Coaxial Cable from Flow 59 or 6? Doing some mods on the home and need the right connectors.

Would any current deals be affected? For e.g. i have the 45 mb plan right now and with it i get a couple free AVS channels. would i still get that with this?

thanks for that info. never really understood DMZ til now....but sadly it didn't help which leads me to believe the problem either lies within tstt or the dns host. I'll try a couple different dynamic dns servers and see if thats the problem

Going to try two things right now.

1. upgrade NAS software to 3.0 from 2.3 and
2. follow portforward.com steps for my nas and blink modem.

Image below shows what the software built into the NAS looks like.

Networking / How to Access My NAS online???
« on: November 11, 2010, 10:08:53 PM »
So i got a Synology NAS DS410j with 4x2tb of files that i am trying to access online. and i'm totaly stuck. The chain of command is the regular blink modem>D-Link DGS-2208>DIR-655>DS410j

now the NAS comes with some software that i cant explain(not to network inclined). I signed up for a www.dyndns.com account through the NAS Web interface all seems well but it doesnt work. any one have experience with this. my best guess is i need to do some sort of port opening and forwarding with the blink modem and possibly the router..Zzzzz....this is stress...but stress is fun!!...any suggestions?

well i end up buying it...but i think i'll run in to some quality problems for going cheap...i bought the slingbox solo which does not have coaxial inputs and i still have analog cable....so either i get a sling supported universal cable box , a demodulator or pass the signal through a vcr all of which would degrade quality some how..ohh well

i'm not using it to stream tv across the internet .. just across my home network

i also bought the new WD Live Tv and D-Link 2208 switch

EDIT: ohh and found out that the analog cable box is supported...

Yes it was. Its all about wireless n routers, features and what makes them the best. No need for a separate topic.

huh? i'm not looking for a router or switch....just the best way to stream cable to my PCs via network

EDIT: and if any one has experience with slingbox in trinidad with flow analog...
