but why so much negative feedback? it seems as if you guys WANT the event to fail. Im glad that some of the users and one of the admins are siding on me with it, but your comments made earlier are basically telling others not to go... which heavily confuses me!
Just this once can we all just put aside the bullshit and simply support?
do i really have to blurt it out that if this event will be sucessful one, peopple with money will take it seriously and may take us seriously? good god

you know i wanted to really keep quiet and make you guys decide for yourself, but the only reason that this thing got passed in parliament in the first place, was that a GAMER was on the COMMITTEE and had to nag the hell out of everyone with the concept of gaming at a serious level. That gamer took high levels of flack,ridicule and questioning for one's professionalism in order for this event to even exist, for the same community that he thought his own community would hopefully come out and support. Worse yet have the games that would really have the event running insanely good pace, be quashed by his superiors due to its "violent nature" and "negative themes" but still, he strived in order for this event to still take place. And all hes asking is for everyone to simply unite and support. Regardless if yuh have work,school,gyal or family to take care of. A simple hour..NO a MINUTE of your support in person would be significant......But if we cant provide that..then gaming was never meant to go very far in this country if its community cant support

been so long since ive been on this forums....everything has changed...the people, the games, but the worst change of all...your mindset towards the thing we all love....games...
Now as a gamer of Trinidad and Tobago, who would wish to see the promotion of E-sports in the Caribbean, it pains me to see that my fellow gamers are not willing to support an event the GOVERNMENT is hosting. now its understandable when normal users do not get the big picture, but when moderators cannot grasp the importance of this event, then how can this organization?
In my personal observation, it seems that the ministry is testing us, to see if the gaming community is huge and active enough in plans for future investment. Which means further sponsorship,endorsement and even (im dreamign now) sending multiple teams abroad for regional/international tournaments. Now if they get the opposite idea, where we are NOT active and do not take the event seriously, it just means we all have set OURSELVES back, and the only person to blame is ourself, not the government, the people in charge or the organizations, just the gamer.
Now if we, the community do not have the will to support a gaming event just because "oh it doh have my game dey" or "where the shooters? this ting is real balls" how do you expect them to take us seriously if you all make comments like this? if we are all advocates in supporting the gaming community, casual, hardcore and professional, you WILL come out to this event, lay aside all the bullshit of TG/GATT wars,yuh game not there and so on, because in the end, we are ALL gamers and that is the one thing that makes us who we are today. And if you do not come out to support this community, you never were...

Xen clan as of yesterday has beaten them MISERABLY in 3v3 and 2v2 matches on Friday 2nd December 2005 from 2:00pm-7:00pm
It was pwnage after pwnage after pwnage for the gatt hq clan as they even bought a LEVEL 32 OF AN XBOX LIVE PLAYER AND STILL CONTINUED TO LOOSE
At the end of the day we had 12 wins to 5 losses

now, you all know me as a man thats sick about halo....well NO F****** MORE! halo2 to me was such a gigantic letdown, everything they displayed in trailers,demos, screenshots, ALL FOR NOTHING! the story was out of sync, leve design seemed to be rushed, LEVEL 2 CUT SCENE WAS RIPPED RIGHT OFF OF THE E3 2003 TRAILIER, A.I is the same, story doesnt add up, ONE EARTH LEVEL!!! ONE MC EARTH LEVEL AFTER ALL THOSE TRAILERS SHOWING EARTH AND SHOWING THAT THE EARTH AS IF IT WAS SUFFERING FROM "the goddamned apocolypse" HALO2 TO ME SEEMED TO BE A BIG WASTE OF TIME AND SHOULD ONLY BE PLAYED FOR ITS MULTIPLAYER AND SHOULD BE RENAMED FROM HALO1:COMBAT EVOLVED TO HALO2: COMBAT ONLINE (copyright man who was kicked off of bungie forums) halo2 single player gave me a sense that this game was made for microsoft to make some serious cash... WHICH THEY DID! WITH A GAME THAT SHOULD GET 6.5 OUT OF 10 overall i think this game should be pulled off shelves and should be shipped back to microsoft and bungie for FUXING UP SUCH A HYPED UP GAME THAT MEANT DIDDLY SQUAT! if my rant isnt enough
