Look for hec ( zypher ), ocz, fortran, seasonic, thermaltake, coolermaster, msi, mushkin. Bsically if the psu gets both sli and crossfire certifacation ( both, not one or the other! ) it will be decent.
I got a 650w hec zypher from interpc yerterday, they keep some nice high end stuff in stock. ( new 8800 GTS cards!!!! asus striker mobo and even a q6800!!! )
Do remember that the hec I got for $1100 tt sells for $150 us ( I actually paid less for it from them than if I skyboxed one myself, but then Pam always gives me good discounts ).
Also on the tntec blowing the psu, the ocz didn't fry my mobo! which says alot about it considering most times a low end psu would normally fry your system under the same conditions.
So DON'T SKIMP ON A PSU! think of it as the heart of your system ( really! it's a heart pumping power! ) so match the psu to your system so it gets what it needs.
