since you are a UWI student, did you know that you could get a Dell laptop at a discounted price? http://sta.uwi.edu/help/cits/dell.asp(go to the TT dell site, configure a machine, and email it to the address in the page above. they;ll send you a quote spend your money, extend your warranty.. if it were a desktop, i'd say warranty is a waste of money.. but since is a laptop , and that mobo aint exactly off the shelf..do yourself a favour and save the worry oh, and back your ish up all the time.. nobody wanna hear bout your machine crash and your assignment on it. lol @ lenovo.. cnever thought i'd say it but these days, huge meh... got 12 T400s early last year.. about 6 of them have the exact screen problem and being sent for service( LCD 'jumpin') got another batch of 12 T410s near end of last year.. already one is being sent back for an LCD problem..

i still feelin a lil hard done by though. i get the dubious privilege of paying full price, regardless of my blocked region..
plus they're justifying the recent raise in price by saying it's cuz of the all content that's available ( that you still have to pay for, mind you ) but not available to me...
fine.. i gets no netflix integration, no last fm , no espn ( in truth and in fact, those services on their own have region blocking, but still.. it does bun muh eye:S netflix, mostly)
i'd be even happy with a dollar back.. or some points or sumnn.. of course that's wishful thinking tho..lol MS eh go change.. RROD repair real lick into their profits, i guess, so every dollar counts..
i just bawlin sour grapes cuz i on silver till nex mth lol

In Trinidad, officials added 15 beds to the San Fernando General Hospital on Friday. They also opened a dengue clinic to follow up on patients who are being discharged quickly to free up more beds. At least one death has been reported. Dr. Anton Cumberbatch, chief medical officer of the island's health ministry, said he is worried that the number of deaths and cases of the more severe hemorrhagic dengue will increase this year. The more people are repeatedly infected, the greater the chance they will develop the hemorrhagic form, which can be fatal, he told a recent news conference according to MSNBC http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38293428/ns/health/

hmm. nah i had like long john silver shrimp special .. in the earlies, u used to get nuff on your plate.. but then they start to lesen the portion and give you real fries.. havent had it in a while
lol@ self service drinks gettin lash tho.. trinis sure kno how to spoil a thing.. i rem i barely coulda finish a cup..
wha we need to do.. is get more proper LOCAL franchise, with foreign standards ( customer service, cleanliness , decor)
castle has a great product.. but in LOUSY , NASTY surroundings, with staff that just seems to want to lash you for talkin to them.. ... the only clean one is probably in the airport. and i've seen that a mess many a time
we have one or two 'okay' casual dining joints ( j malones, woodford.. havent been those two in a while , so i dunno if standards drop.. as i said.. they were okay.. not perfect before) but only castle flyin the local fast food flag ( albeit a very greasy one)
i see someone brought pollo tropical.. wonder how that will turn out

^^ i forgot about steam, as it's PC centred but with the consoles you can also purchase some full games these days... i think within a couple years time, you gonna get new games releasin for purchase nearer to or even same time as physical media.. ( although i would like to see a discount.. no way i payin a full 50 and doh have sumthin solid.. a 40 for a new game.. and 20 for one more than 9 months old..)
i jsut hope they dont keep up this region blockin nonsense....

nah. no mod for me..
legit games are a bit expensive, yes.. but if you hang on a bit ( a few months after the launch) you can save some money ( well, if you bringin the games in.. retailers here still sell at high prices regardless)
with regards to using burnt games as a demo... nah..lots of games have legit demos.. case in point. was gonna drop some change on civilization 4.. til i played the demo and realised it wasnt as much fun as a hoped.. no longer a priority purchase
tha's like if i go to work for a new company .... they don't like how i perform, so they send me home without pay after a 1 month... sure, they didnt like me and have every right to send me home.... but i worked for them, and finished the task they assigned for me.. gimme muh damn money for the month.. if they said they wanted to evaluate me first with an unpaid 1 week internship, well cool... let's see how it works out
full job = full game unpaid internship = demo
also, there are reviews/forums to point out tech glitches.. esp if you hold your hand a bit.. e.g. last remnant.. wanted to play that game when it came out. but read that the xbox360 version is a plagued with long loading times.. so now..I could either purchase used for $13 USD or new for $20.. sure, it still a bit more than a burn but not by much..
even 'used' has a stigma attached.. but someone on this forum had pointed out to me for the most part, when gamers sell their games.. they use the money to purchase more games ( mostly), thereby keeping it in the gaming economy ( i hope.. it could otherwise be fuelling a crystal meth addiction)
at the end of the day. gaming is a privilege, not a right.. companies are out there to make money... less money for them = less games for us..
intellectual property ( like games, music, and video) hard to police.. cuz is so easy to make a digital copy that you will enjoy just as much as the 'real thing'
and UltimateGamer is right in sayin these piracy measures do little more than frustrate the owners of the legitimate stuff.. if you know where to look, you'll always be able to get a copy of said item.. but you would be surprised with the number of people ( young and old) who not too savvy when it comes to piracy.. i think the measures are there to prevent them ( the unwashed masses) from simply copying a disk and giving it to a friend

ALien Breed looks pretty good..
actually, it's exactly the type of gaming experience i was looking for ( isometric shoot'em up.)
the unreal 3 engine really is a beast tho..
it also powered Shadow Complex , btw, which was quite fun..(XBLA only now, but i read it may hit PSN )
