Greendot provide both dsl type circuits for business customers and also dedicated circuits. The bandwidth really depends on what the customer is willing to pay as dedicated circuits are very expensive and only the corporate's sign up for this type of link. In this scenario T1 is no problem and upload speeds can be whatever is required as well.

The dsl type circuits are typically 128K/64 or 256K/64K, however depending on what the customers require, further packages can be and will be developed over the coming months.

Arima should be fully on stream this weekend (unless there are hiccups) and by Monday we will be in a position to begin installing and performing site surveys for customers. Please call 622 5700 and speak to sales or email us at sales@mail.tt with your specific details to get more detailed information.

Hi

Firstly, I would like to apologise for not responding to some of the queries posted on the forum - however, we had some teething issues in March which was top priority for us to resolve. Thankfully, these issues are resolved and the outstanding matter to hand that we are dealing with as priority is the common issue with respect to P2P users and opening up ports again. We are in the process of doing this and getting very close to having a solution in place to have ports opened again and do apologise for the inconvenience. However, we have done our best to assist with our customers who have been affected by the change and opened up ports for specific customers who inform us of what they wish to do and what ports are needed to be opened. There are also some legal issues that have nearly been resolved that we have dealt with to ensure there are no legal implications with opening up P2P completely. Please bear with us and again this issue is top priority for us.

Secondly, a quick update on the status of the relationship we will be forming with the GATT users. Due to the teething issues in March, a large proportion of the testing that we wanted to do was put on hold. Currently, we want to wait for the P2P side of things to be rectified before we complete the testing and can offer the GATT members the deal that was discussed earlier. We don't want to rush into this and offer a deal that we cannot deliver or support as this will create a lot of negativity and bad dealings with the customers affected. So again, please bear with us - it will be looked at next week and hopefully by the end of next week, we will be able to formalise a relationship and officially offer the GATT members the deal incorporating Internet and a wide area network link to local gaming servers.

Finally, I have seen a few members mention that we cannot service their locations - if you could indicate where you are located and give me your name (you can email the details to me at kpatel@mail.tt), I can follow up with the status and give you an indication as to timelines to service the area. We do keep a list of all people and areas we cannot service so we can plan our expansions. Our expansion to Arima and South has also begun and should be completed by end of next week.

Please feel free to email me at kpatel@mail.tt if you require any further information

Thanks

Yes there are opportunities. We are looking for positions in the following roles :

Dispatch Team or Installation team - currently looking for 2 people to install equipment etc at customer locations.
Customer Service people - Need customer service people to work evening (4pm until midnight) and late shift (midnight to 8am).
Sales Dept - Looking for sales people to develop new business and manage existing customers.

For now, the positions are entry level positions with opportunity for any individual to grow into a more senior position. The technical team is currently OK - however, will probably need more in the coming months.

There will be other positions very soon, but that's it for now. There

We are looking for people with the right attitude as opposed to experience. We will teach the individuals what they need to know.

If anyone is interested, please email your resume to sales@mail.tt

Some info relating to some of the points :

1. The proposed relationship is not intended to get everyone to switch provider to Green Dot. If a member is happy with TSTT and the local 512K connection is not to valuable, then it makes sense for the member to stay with TSTT
2. The backbone Satellite connections do not get affected by cloud cover or bad weather - there are many types of Satellite services some of which are easily affected by bad weather, but the backbone of Green Dot will be using the more expensive, reliable and better performing Satellite services to ensure that weather does not affect the service. Sun Spots are the only thing that will affect the service, which will cause downtime for a few minutes, 2 times a year (I believe in March and September) and Sun Spots affect ALL satellite communications.
3) The fact that Green Dot will have multiple Satellite connections is not to combat weather problems, but to have redundancy in the event that a Satellite fails. The reason that they will be located at different locations is also for redundancy in the event that a locations burns down or something drastic like that.
4) The website is still being updated and we will have an online sign up procedure. However, you can go to our temporary website at www.mail.tt and register your interest and we will call you back to discuss the service / options.
5) We will officially start selling the gaming solution to members once the beta test is complete (hopefully by end of next week). At this stage, we are only signing up straightforward high speed Internet customers
6) We will provide more details on coverage - however, currently we can see what was outlined above, however we will be within 1 month expanding to South and Arima. Following this, other areas will come on line very quickly. Tobago will be on by middle of April.
7) Our standard Internet residential package is 64K up. The local connections will be 512K symmetric.

Let me know if you have any further questions - you can either email me at sales@mail.tt or I will reply to this forum.

Thanks
