Okay, so maybe I'm not the BEST person to talk about art based jobs in Trinidad seeing as I LEFT Trinidad to pursue my career, but I STARTED my business in Trinidad.
Let's not forget, we have the internet.
I make a pretty good living per month selling auctions for artwork and commissions on Furbid. As we speak right now I'm photoshopping up a peice I got paid $56 for and it took me just about 4 hours of work.
Just set up a paypal account and have a way to transfer the money to yourself. Simple.
This is the age of the internet, geographical location means nothing anymore.
And if possible, sell to Americans *whisper* they'll buy ANYTHING.

Well I'm being honest, it's pretty bare bones...but the fun I have using it is to fake more high level effects using it....much more of an art to it that way I find.

Here's how I do it....
1) Hook up console to VCR (in)
2) Hook up Digital Video Camera to VCR (out)
3) Record while game is playing/ingame movie is playing
4) Dump the recorded video to PC using firewire from the Video Camera (this way you can eliminate hours of needless footage)
5) Arrange and edit in Ulead Media Studio over audio track.

Not a bad show, love the length.
THe featurettes are light, but this means more reviews.
We could do without the tips and tricks though, because we've all become accustomed to going online for our tips and tricks...and they point you to websites so they already assume that you have net access....a little redundant, but you can't beat the length.
Their reviews break it down nice and understandably like a good magazine review. very nice and the british dude is real kicks.

I say try to be positive about these things. Animation is not easy and people put a lot of work into these things. Hence I'm thinking of closing this thread until people learn to be a little more understanding and to share more well formed opinions of such things.
I have no problem when you say something sucks, but I'd like to know at least why.

Anyway, Talon, I'd like to see Samurai Deeper Kyo when I get a chance. I hear it's a little high concept but classic in execution.
