Hoss if you have to HIT the monitor for the screen to show properly then it's not the video card. He means hit the power button, But i was gonna tell him to do that. Trini, hit it some good lash. if that fixes the problem, your monitor has cold soldering issues. it can be fixed if the person you carry it by is good enough.

Apparently the fundamentals of comprehension in the English language is beyond some ppl. "What is the Best Game You have everplayed?"
Means name ONE title....not many. Best GAME...not gameS.
Respect to Guiltyspark, Shin Sagat, Carlsberg, L, Janus & Richjob for having the intelligence to nto game every game they ever played.
For my vote....it goes to Legend of Zelda : a Link to the past. If you have to ask why, then you should BUY this game and the console on which it is played (SNES) and see for yourself. Apparently the fundamentals of human behaviour is beyond you. Every man that post one game did it because they didn't wanna be looked down upon by people like you. I can't say what's the best game I ever played, and I doubt ANY gamer truly can. I cant say what's the best so I'll say Thief: The Dark Project and COD single. Best 5 games will still be constraining for some people, but makes it better

Though if the retarded government DIDn't allow them to walk free.... most of this crime wouldn't exist right now. Explain that please. Rommel are you defending the US because you thought about it alot? or is it Fear or love for their culture. Bush had to give the citizens closure, so he turned on the next Towel head after Bin, simple as that. Baego has a point. They are stong and they keep order. But sometimes the rest of the world has to turn their backs when the US seeks it's own interest. Saddam had his thing going on over there making people's lives miserable and he didnt ned WMD's to do it. If he had them they were to be used against large countries like the US trying to spoil his fun. And he didnt use any. Therefore there is none. Most likely it was for oil, because a Republican waking up one morning and saying, "I think I shall help a nation" dont happen. and Saddam WAS a terrorist in many ways. They don't just blow places up. So some good came out of it I guess. There was never an instant of peace that didn't result in some conflict

Dude I just found it and posted it here. Says at the top it's origin. Trini, nobody's being stereotypical. My pos was about one type of person, and splits was about another type (dunno why she did though). It's wierd how they find it hard to trust, yet they call the sincere ones the azzholes and go out with the real azzholes. Splits that article is just an excuse, written by a woman, to defend all women.

Ode to the Nice Guys
This rant was written for the Wharton Undergraduate Journal This is a tribute to the nice guys. The nice guys that finish last, that never become more than friends, that endure hours of whining and bitching about what a$$holes guys are, while disproving the very point. This is dedicated to those guys who always provide a shoulder to lean on but restrain themselves to tentative hugs, those guys who hold open doors and give reassuring pats on the back and sit patiently outside the changing room at department stores. This is in honor of the guys that obligingly reiterate how cute/beautiful/smart/funny/sexy their female friends are at the appropriate moment, because they know most girls need that litany of support. This is in honor of the guys with open minds, with laid-back attitudes, with honest concern. This is in honor of the guys who respect a girl’s every facet, from her privacy to her theology to her clothing style.
This is for the guys who escort their drunk, bewildered female friends back from parties and never take advantage once they’re at her door, for the guys who accompany girls to bars as buffers against the rest of the creepy male population, for the guys who know a girl is fishing for compliments but give them out anyway, for the guys who always play by the rules in a game where the rules favor cheaters, for the guys who are accredited as boyfriend material but somehow don’t end up being boyfriends, for all the nice guys who are overlooked, underestimated, and unappreciated, for all the nice guys who are manipulated, misled, and unjustly abandoned, this is for you.
This is for that time she left 40 urgent messages on your cell phone, and when you called her back, she spent three hours painstakingly dissecting two sentences her boyfriend said to her over dinner. And even though you thought her boyfriend was a chump and a jerk, you assured her that it was all ok and she shouldn’t worry about it. This is for that time she interrupted the best killing spree you’d ever orchestrated in GTA3 to rant about a rumor that romantically linked her and the guy she thinks is the most repulsive person in the world. And even though you thought it was immature and you had nothing against the guy, you paused the game for two hours and helped her concoct a counter-rumor to spread around the floor. This is also for that time she didn’t have a date, so after numerous vows that there was nothing “serious” between the two of you, she dragged you to a party where you knew nobody, the beer was awful, and she flirted shamelessly with you, justifying each fit of reckless teasing by announcing to everyone: “oh, but we’re just friends!” And even though you were invited purely as a symbolic warm body for her ego, you went anyways. Because you’re nice like that.
The nice guys don’t often get credit where credit is due. And perhaps more disturbing, the nice guys don’t seem to get laid as often as they should. And I wish I could logically explain this trend, but I can’t. From what I have observed on campus and what I have learned from talking to friends at other schools and in the workplace, the only conclusion I can form is that many girls are just illogical, manipulative bitches. Many of them claim they just want to date a nice guy, but when presented with such a specimen, they say irrational, confusing things such as “oh, he’s too nice to date” or “he would be a good boyfriend but he’s not for me” or “he already puts up with so much from me, I couldn’t possibly ask him out!” or the most frustrating of all: “no, it would ruin our friendship.” Yet, they continue to lament the lack of datable men in the world, and they expect their too-nice-to-date male friends to sympathize and apologize for the men that are jerks. Sorry, guys, girls like that are beyond my ability to fathom. I can’t figure out why the connection breaks down between what they say (I want a nice guy!) and what they do (I’m going to sleep with this complete ass now!). But one thing I can do, is say that the nice-guy-finishes-last phenomenon doesn’t last forever. There are definitely many girls who grow out of that train of thought and realize they should be dating the nice guys, not taking them for granted. The tricky part is finding those girls, and even trickier, finding the ones that are single.
So, until those girls are found, I propose a toast to all the nice guys. You know who you are, and I know you’re sick of hearing yourself described as ubiquitously nice. But the truth of the matter is, the world needs your patience in the department store, your holding open of doors, your party escorting services, your propensity to be a sucker for a pretty smile. For all the crazy, inane, absurd things you tolerate, for all the situations where you are the faceless, nameless hero, my accolades, my acknowledgement, and my gratitude go out to you. You do have credibility in this society, and your well deserved vindication is coming.

the deciding factor will be the cost of the medium, blu ray and HD-DVD, will be damn expensive Just like everything else that's new in the tech world. But it'll be a while. 16x writers will last a while. they cant spin a peice of plastic much faster.

I wrote this the other day after seeing this thread and then bugged synth to look it over. He doesn't agree with my comparisons, but I can't let it go easily. I always imagines explaining it that way. Well this was a half @$$ed attempt and if you like it maybe i can bug synth again to help me do a better one.
TECH BABBLE Ever went into a store, or read a computer catalogue and you see all these numbers, but don't know what they mean? Don't worry, 60% of T&T's population are with you. Most people don't know, but all these numbers are really simple if You look at it in a different way. Don't let technicians confuse you, and don’t let them make all the decisions for you. Let’s look at it this way. A computer deals with information and data (both are the same thing more or less). Let's say that information is gravel, and a computer is a truck. Now people use computers for different things, just like they use different trucks for different jobs. You'll see something like Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, or Athlon 2.2 GHz.That means the CPU (core, brain) of the computer will operate at a certain speed. 2.2GHz=2200 MHz. MHz means how many million times a second. So this means a 2200 MHz pentium will think, or do something 2200 million times a second. Pretty fast huh. Let's compare that to a trucks engine. More power means better.
Now you see 256MB RAM. RAM is memory. This is how much data the computer can handle at a time 1 MB means 1 million bytes. If you're typing up a letter or a resume on a computer, 1 letter, space or symbol takes up 1 byte of that memory, so you can see how much 256 million-byte capacity can handle. Now let's compare Ram to the size of the tray in a truck. Bigger tray means more gravel, and roads fixing faster right?
Speaking of roads, you will also see something like 400MHz FSB, or Front Side Bus, that is simply how fast the parts in your pc talks to each other. So you can compare that to the road the truck drives on. 400MHz is pretty fast and can be compared to the Uriah Butler Highway. On the other hand, 66MHz FSB will be compared to a back road with potholes.
The Almighty hard drive. Almost always mistaken for the actual computer tower itself. Actually this can't really be compared to a truck. So let's compare it to the quarry holding all that gravel in the first place. Your hard drive holds data until you choose to erase this data. It's holds Windows itself, and anything you decide to save. So these days you'll see 40 GB hard drive most times 1 GB is 1000 million bytes. Imagine how many letters that will hold. Hard drives are merely boxes with discs inside them, and these discs have a speed. More speed means more data transfer to and from the hard drive.7200 RPM (revolutions per minute) are standard in this day and age.
The thing the kids look at first-The Video Card. This device handles video as you guessed. You might see 64MB video card, or 64MB GeForce 4. Choosing a video card all depends on the use of the pc. This is like a mini computer dedicated to video. Like the CPU, the video card does all these math functions, but only for displaying video. So for simple stuff like writing letters, a 32MB video card is more that enough. But for things like playing video games, changing pictures, watching DVD movies or even making little movies, a card with more power is needed, like 128MB-256MB these days. All depends on the job for the pc.
The sound card is something like the video card, but is dedicated to sound. It is also measured differently. The usual power today will be about 32 bit. What is a bit you say? Simply put, 8 bits add up to 1 byte. So this particular card Will be good for just playing cd's on your pc. For having that theatre experience with 5 speakers will need around 64 bits at least. A better sound card will also mean better sound in video games.
The other drives are pretty straightforward. DVD drive means it will play DVD movies and read DVD's. Burners will record CD's. Now for speeds. Floppy drives are standard and DO NOT buy a PC without one. 16X DVD ROM. Another measurement on information. 1X means 125 thousand bytes a second. So it reads so much in 1 second. This is the standard for most pc's these days. On to the more confusing, the burner. 52X 24X 52X. This means read speed, rewrite speed and write speed in that order. re-writing is burning on a CD-RW, or re-writable CD. The above speed is the fastest manufacturers can offer right now.
Modems are standard, most being at 56K (56 thousand bits per second) That is the maximum transfer speed from the Internet, and anything less is unsatisfactory in these times. An Ethernet or LAN card would be great if there's more than 1 pc in the house. They can then be connected to share files, Internet and even a printer.
These are the main things you'll see when shopping for computers. Do they still look like gibberish?

if this situation gets any worse we could end up like haiti 20 years down the road, its amazing, we have TRILLIONS of dollars in resources, and a country like barbados is ahead of us in EVERYTHING.
what this country needs is a strong leader who is not afraid to use the army to wipe out crime the proper way, shooting alot of drug lords and expelling the jamaat... rule by fear of force or by force , without either there is no rule. Ever saw The Godfather? It's never that easy. And it was called operation Anaconda. But they just cut the weeds and left the roots.

I know it's not just "their" attitude. That was just a summary. And yes, there's always multiple sides to a story.Do you agree that America promotes the most propoganda? But then again We were never in Iraq to hear what they are being told. I can still remember Sept. 11th. msn.com updated news every 15 minutes that day, and what struck me was a picture they put up. Children in Afghanistan in the streets and in the sunlight celebrating the fall of the Towers that morning......it was night time in Afghanistan.

I don't think any war on Earth started because of level thinking. All wars started from hate/ignorance/greed. Some guy thought Jews didnt deserve to live, so a war started. Some other guy thought His country should rule others around it and the civilians treated like crap....swords clashed. Some other guy was fedup of America's attitude and constant propoganda to the rest of the workd....concrete crumbled. Some guy realised that some other guy was a threat to him, so civilians are "freed" ( we all know death is being freed also) It's wierd that a Republican woke up one morning and decided to help another country. If he was a diplomat then maybe people would believe him. It's also wierd that people are actually shocked that prisoners of War are being treated badly. C'mon, a well treated POW is as rare as a good title by Head Games. We hate your country and what you do so if we capture you we'll treat you with steak, bubble baths and nice clothes? You had bullets with my name on them, now it's time to pay. And Kayode I dunno why you're trying to deviate readers from natural human nature. Let them be. You're smart enough to know that it wont help.
