yeah it runs fine in Linux, have to install nvidia's drivers if yuh want anything >800x600,
xgi runs on it to, if your into the whole 3d desktop thing (i ran Mandriva 2007 and Fedora Core 6.0 on it)

why you run 2 distros?

I was trying kubuntu to see if it would work better with the ati card than suse did, no luck as it had driver issues to, I still like kubuntu tho, just another distro to learn with in a way. Kubuntu/ubuntu isn't bad but still falls short of suse overall.

Didn't like mandriva so much but gonna try fedora but the 7300 should make life easier untill ati fixes their drivers. Plus hopefully it will work the way I want :D

ubuntu and it's variants were more geared to the desktop market and beginners.
Suse/Fedora/mandriva is for the power user and enthusiast.
used mandriva free and it hit me with an update fee so i f off that one time.

I like fedora 'cause of it's community based support, similar to ubuntu, you can always get a little help in the forums. :D

Yup interested, for $350 can't go wrong and could always use a backup pcie card, plus the machine has 3 unused pcie slots so may as well, and ati linux drivers suck balls!!!!!!!

lol true that they can never seem to write good ones and refuse to open them up.
lol for 350 is a steal of a deal, considering that a similar card goes for @ least 5 now, i would have asked for more but, i telling yuh if yuh play anything higher than hl2 yuh dead, b/c is not a good allrounder like a x800 or sum i ask for less.
your machine has >2 PCI-E x 16? O_O <envy>

pm me yur contact/meeting info.
